We support the community by providing anyone interested in or passionate about cannabis with access to analytical product testing as well as information to help guide their cultivation, consumption, or enjoyment of marijuana, hemp, and cannabis-derived products.


As the first independent cannabis testing laboratory to be certified by the state of Massachusetts, we are proud to offer analytical testing and R&D services to MMJ and adult-use cannabis providers, patients, doctors, caregivers, or anyone crafting their own cannabis products. Our methods are ISO-17025 accredited, and we employ proven analytical practices developed in the pharmaceutical industry.


MCR Labs is always looking for quality candidates to join our team of scientists and administrative personnel. The cannabis industry is one of the fastest growing jobs sectors in the nation, which allows us to consistently hire talented individuals who will develop and grow within our industry!


Summary:

Data analyst works to ensure all data being generated by the laboratory is accurate and of the highest quality. This position is remote but will work with our newest lab in Gardiner, Maine.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing data generated by the laboratory personnel and analytical instruments.
  • Quality control checking of all data generated by the laboratory.
  • Being able to spot outliers and investigate anomalous instances of data.
  • Issues statements of conformity or opinions or interpretations when necessary
  • Work with the laboratory and quality assurance to ensure client complaints or issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interpret analytical data including chromatograms.
  • Input data to database such as LIMS and METRC.
  • Generating and sending reports to various clients.
  • Review and validate data processed by other data analysts

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional analytical, organization, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Must be trained on all policies related to data analysis and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to handle and analyze large datasets
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to identify procedural inadequacies or errors and communicate with the department to resolve the issue Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Minimum of BA/BS, with an emphasis on STEM fields with 1 year of experience or 5 years of experience in analytical data processing.
  • Fully understand the navigation of LIMS to assist other departments, including but not limited to Client Service, Scientific Operations, and Laboratory Operations
  • Great familiarity with client specific trends to raise questions on outliers in their samples
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Advance data analytical skills with Excel
  • Able to work in with a team and independently
