Overview


The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of medical marijuana plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for shipment to the processing facility. During the cultivation season, the Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from clone to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and packaging of the plants. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position. 


Responsibilities


  • Daily care of medical marijuana plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants. 
  • Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Lead Grower. 
  • Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation. 
  • Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the medical marijuana plants, including hanging, curing and drying the plants. 
  • Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of waste according to strict compliance guidelines. 
  • Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process. 
  • Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures. 
  • Carefully follow directions as provided by the Lead Grower. 
  • Willingness to continue to learn best practices of medical marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture and greenhouse operating systems. 
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

  • Strong desire to work in cultivation or agriculture and a willingness to quickly learn about growing and harvesting quality medical marijuana plants. 
  • High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.

  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment. 
  • Must be 18+ with no violent crime or controlled substance felonies and able to pass additional background screening.


Physical Requirements



The Technician position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day. The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of this job. Regularly required to do the following activities: 


  • Extensive walking throughout an expansive greenhouse environment. 
  • Standing for long periods without a break. 
  • Ability to lift 30 to 40 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet. 
  • Use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips 
  • Maintain balance while walking, standing or crouching. 
  • Twist upper torso. 
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.

Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized with great attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><b>CORE JOB DUTIES</b></p><p>• Assist in the preparation of key close and reporting schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis including Adjusted EBITDA, analytics and other supporting schedules</p><p>• Assist with the managing of the monthly and quarterly close process by working with the Regional Controllers to get updates on the tasks and deliverables</p><p>• Update the master data (chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers and other dimensions) from the Company's current accounting structure to the new ERP structure</p><p>• Support the Financial Systems and Integrations team with ERP integration efforts</p><p>• Develop and conduct training for the new instance of the consolidation software in alignment with the new ERP structure</p><p>• Assist in the inter-company elimination process on a monthly basis and develop intercompany trading partners</p><p>• Ensure validation between the BPC consolidation system and source data with timely resolution of discrepancies and variances</p><p>• Support reporting at different levels, working with stakeholders on key projects including actual vs. budget analysis, legal entity reporting, accounting software implementations and pro forma reporting</p><p>• Prepare consolidation journal entries on a monthly basis</p><p>• Review of financial results, investigating and resolving unusual balances on a monthly basis and ad hoc as needed</p><p>• Assist in preparation of debt covenant calculation and compliance certificates</p><p>• Assist with the financial integration and consolidation of new markets and newly acquired business</p><p>• Support cross functional projects related to ERP and system implementations</p><p>• Participate in cross functional projects related to financial reporting</p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS</p><p>• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or business degree with accounting or accounting information systems concentration OR Bachelor's degree in information technology-related field with accounting/business concentration and/or MBA</p><p>• 3+ years accounting and finance or financial systems experience (public accounting, consolidation or financial reporting preferred)</p><p>• CPA preferred</p><p>• Strong U.S. GAAP experience</p><p>• Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow through on assigned tasks</p><p>• Experience with financial accounting systems (SAP, BPC or HFM helpful)</p><p>• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required</p><p>• Enjoys working in a post-start-up, fast-paced, global public company environment</p><p>• Ability to deal with ambiguity and change, able to act as a change agent</p><p>• Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner</p><p>COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS</p><p>Cresco Labs requires that all corporate employees be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus on or before September 30, 2021.
