The Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis in conjunction with the VP of Finance to support effective allocation of capital, and business focus.

The Financial Analyst supports the forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes and serves as a trusted partner throughout the organization.

In collaboration with the VP of Finance and Controller calculate and issue financial and operating metrics

Work with VP of Finance to manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts

Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

Provide financial analyses on product, customer and other business opportunities, as needed

Oversee weekly and period analysis and reporting of financial metrics and KPI's

Continuously assess and communication organizational performance against budget and strategic objectives

Assist functional leaders with performing financial analysis and Return on Investment analysis to support new product development, business and project planning, and capital expenditures

Develop and continually enhance the tools used to support forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, regular reporting and business planning

Develop and maintain multiple complex business financial models

Maintain a solid understanding of specifically accounting and regulatory treatment specific to cannabis

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

In-depth understanding of multi-entity accounting

Strong critical thinking skills

Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modelling experience

Outgoing and encouraging demeanor with an ability to positively motivate staff and to network locally and regionally to build relationships.

Very strong verbal and written communication proficiency; English literacy.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions to inform recommendations and decisions.

Ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations that support business decisions and influence outcomes cross-functionally.

Flexibility to 'fill in' and work in various capacities based on business needs, e.g. on a sales floor.

Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Adaptability and tolerance to fast-paced business growth.

Comfort with typical business computing and technology; proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for commuting among locations within assigned region.

Hold a valid Marijuana's Handlers Permit.

Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations required for working in the cannabis space.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Have interest in the cannabis industry and be culturally aligned with Groundworks' mission.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, sit and kneel daily in retail and production environments that include concrete or other hard-surface floors, and in some instances staircases.

Ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.

Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise due to public conversations and the gathering of people, etc.

Absent conditions that would prevent the occasional use of PPE such as safety glasses, dust masks, etc.

Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for several contiguous hours.

Ability to drive a motor vehicle for several hours contiguously

Position Summary/Objective The Compensation/Total Reward Analyst will provide professional level analysis and to members of the People &amp; Culture Team as well as other internal partnerships with Finance, Accounting, and other groups in our fast growing company. This position provides broad-based compensation &amp; benefits knowledge and support through research, analysis, and ongoing administration of the Ethos total rewards program. The position focuses on all compensation and benefits programs including base pay, incentive plans, equity, employee discounts, and more with the goal of attracting and retaining top talent at Ethos and reward employees appropriately. The ideal candidate will have compensation and benefits experience, strong organization skills, excellent analytical talents, and a healthy work ethic to support our growing business. This attentive professional will have an eye for detail and will represent the People &amp; Culture function across all aspects of the company, providing clear and timely work execution while working though issues using sound analysis and judgment. This role will lead the total rewards aspect of People &amp; Culture and report directly to the Director of People &amp; Culture. Responsibilities Strictly abide by the highest standards of ethics and professionalism, and exercise privacy and confidentiality at all times Collect and analyze wage data (salary surveys), and prepare wage and salary ranges, banding, and comprehensive total rewards compensation models. Assist with implementation of salary grade structure audits (assess appropriate job titles, job codes, FLSA status, pay grade, incentive target, etc.) Manage data quality - ensure that compensation data is up to date, drive the processes and ensure audit reports are clean &amp; accurate. Administer compensation policies and guidelines as well as provide training and support to team members and others throughout Ethos. Supports the Talent Acquisition team in preparing competitive compensation offers; ensuring all cash and equity compensation information is aligned to our compensation philosophy. Conducts compliance testing, audits, and investigations through reporting and analysis. Assist with managing total rewards compliance, FLSA, benefit regulatory requirements and compliance related reporting and filings. Contributes to the creation and delivery of Total Rewards projects, training materials for managers, and employee resources as needed. Administer increase and bonus approvals and process for compensation plans including preparation of bonus statements and annual increases Maintain and update job descriptions in coordination with the Talent Acquisition Team and managers including creation and maintenance of our job description repository Participate in HCM testing and administration for compensation &amp; benefits areas Oversee the benefits and leave administration including Medical, FMLA, STD, LTD, unpaid leave, with our Total Rewards Specialist. Support ACA reporting and research and partnering with the Payroll Team on various compensation initiatives and audits Oversee the 401k administration for our employee population in partnership with our TR Specialist and our Benefits Broker Build and maintain a strong partnership with all employees and managers internal and external to Ethos. Assist in other People &amp; Culture projects, as necessary or requested Report to the Director of People &amp; Culture Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or related field CCP preferred, but not required Work Experience 4 years of experience working in a data-centric/analytics-oriented role. Human Resources, Compensation, and Benefit experience a plus. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Word and Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, advanced formulas) required. Demonstrated analytical abilities. Attention to detail for data accuracy analysis. Experience with HCM systems including benefits Knowledge of data privacy and compliance rules, regulations and best practices.
