Retail Facilities Manager - Medical Cannabis

Liberty Health Sciences is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of medical cannabis in South Florida with over 34 dispensaries and more being added each month. We are looking for a facilities manager to join our team, this person should be a proactive, self-motivated and responsible individual who can manage the maintenance and upkeep on a store operational level. A multitasker who can take the necessary steps with approved vendors to solve issues, ensuring LHS dispensaries are maintained at the highest standard.

Requirements

• Ensures that all LHS dispensaries are in working order and are maintained according to company policies, procedures and standards.

• Communicate effectively with internal team members and external vendors to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.

• Source, vet and manage potential vendors and suppliers across the state to create a statewide list of approved vendors within established budget.

• Resolve all open tickets and coordinate with stores and vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner; avoiding workplace interruptions.

• Perform monthly audits at dispensaries to ensure everything is functioning to company standards at retail level. Generate reports on these audit visits and share with appropriate team.

• Effectively communicate with retail management team about any recommended changes or facility improvements/modifications.

• Work with dispensary teams to achieve such improvements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, construction, electrical, or other suitable field of study is required (3+ years of relevant experience (maintenance & facilities) may substitute for education)

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background (FBI)

• Must have excellent follow-up and tracking skills

• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Have a valid FL driver license and reliable transportation

• Excellent organizational and planning skills

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

• Experience with MS Office, Ticket Request systems, reporting software, etc.

• Reliable and trustworthy

• Monthly travel to dispensaries across the state required; approximately 20% (subject to change as needed).

The Post-Harvest Manager will coordinate with the Director of Cultivation and Cultivation Manager to ensure effective implementation of Post-Harvest policies, performance of the team is consistent with the most recent iteration of all Post-Harvest procedures, set and review task lists and Harvest scheduling with the Director of Cultivation and Cultivation Team, notify the Director of Cultivation of any issues with the harvests as they arise, and provide Post-Harvest Technicians and Leads with guidance and task clarification while working alongside them.</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p>• Oversees all aspects of Post-Harvest operations from harvesting of plants to drying, curing and trimming.</p><p>• Coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and task lists with the Director of Cultivation.</p><p>• Communicates with Operations and Logistics personnel to ensure production is satisfying the needs of Packaging and Laboratory Departments.</p><p>• Assists in monitoring and adjusting dry room environmental conditions.</p><p>• Performs plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.</p><p>• Accountable for accurate tracking and logging of all plant material by utilizing the inventory tracking systems (Biotrack, MJ Freeway, METRC) in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.</p><p>• Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all Post-Harvest equipment, rooms, and workspaces as well as sanitation practices concerning handling of plant material according to Company procedure.</p><p>• Performs equipment maintenance to ensure production runs smoothly with no interruptions.</p><p>• Accurately performs functions in inventory tracking system such as scanning plants into dry rooms and creating batch ID’s.</p><p>• Assists in developing a productive work environment and fostering a positive culture while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.</p><p>• Assists in the supervision and training of new employees.</p><p>• Sets and maintains a standard of quality in line with Company policy and procedure.</p><p>SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED</p><p>• Organization</p><p>• Close Attention to Detail</p><p>• Time Management</p><p>• Communication</p><p>• Teamwork</p><p>REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE</p><p>• Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product.</p><p>• Able to demonstrate sound judgement and problem solving.</p><p>• Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the NJ CRC.</p><p>• Able to pass all background checks as mandated by NJ CRC.</p><p>• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and alternate shifts.</p><p>• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.</p><p>• Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility (cannabis experience preferred).</p><p>• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Handling Practices (GMP/GHP).</p><p>• Experience working in a regulated environment with a regulated and tracked substance.</p><p><b>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p>• Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time</p><p>• Ability to have extended cannabis exposure, with no adverse physical reaction</p><p>• Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms</p><p>• Fine visual acuity with the ability to adjust focus to inspect closely, ability to recognize different colors.</p><p>• Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities or structures</p><p>• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to meet job and operate equipment requirements</p><p>• Wear provided UVA/UVB safety glasses and neck kerchiefs to protect against strong lights in growing areas</p><p>• Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a dispensary manager</p><p>• Pushing/pulling/carrying, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.</p><p>• Regular and on-time attendance</p><p>• Hours may exceed 40 hours per week</p><p>Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p><p><b>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</b></p><p>Work is performed in several locations that include a cannabis cultivation and production facility and dispensaries, the working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff.
