Responsibilities:

About the Role:

The Contracts Manager reports to the General Counsel and works directly with Senior Leadership through all functional levels. This position is fundamental to the overall strength of the business. The position will contribute to the stability and development of the Company.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain professionalism and live CCA’s core values of Teamwork, Innovation, Integrity and Process at all times
  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide variety of internal and external contracts for Materials, Leases, Intellectual Property, Genetics, real property, transactional and other commercial agreements.
  • Manage and meet aggressive internal MBOs, and help balance priorities.
  • Provide legal support in the areas of discovery responses, legal and policy compliance review, contract administration and process management, and other legal matters that arise.
  • Perform moderately complex to complex legal, compliance and transactional research and analysis, and relative to such research and analysis, make recommendations as to the degree of risk to CCA, and communicate or escalate significant risks and issues, with recommendations for action, to Legal Senior Management.
  • Analyze and produce high quality reports for both reporting purposes and for executive level review.
  • Draft, formulate and implement corporate legal policy concerning a variety of issues.
  • Display credibility with business leaders, legislative bodies, supervisory authorities, and government agencies on behalf of CCA and the greater industry.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position
Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3 years’ experience in a professional environment working in a contract’s environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or similar field
  • Proven ability to manage a company's standard contract templates, internal contract management tools and software’s
  • Strong analytical and writing skills and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Experience in successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams, and understanding their goals and the overall company mission
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Past experience with M&A planning, execution, and outcomes, implementation of product and business development, intellectual property matters in order to meet expansion expectations organically and through acquisition.

This includes, but is not limited to maintaining stock nutrient supply, identifying deficiencies and toxicities, and diagnosing and treating for pests and disease.
