General Responsibilities

The Disposal Technician plays a very important role in the operational flow of the lab, as they apply precise measurements and time management to allow the lab to accept more samples. The role is responsible for paying close attention to detail in each step of their process to guarantee the accuracy of their work. Contributes inventory control system process of laboratory samples by properly measuring the weight of unused sample, properly calculating differences, and maintaining good record keeping.

  • Record and track accurate weights and measurements of samples using the regulatory processing procedures and implemented protocols.
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the processing area
  • Good laboratory practices and using proper PPE
  • Disposes of sample according to approved procedures
  • Operates and cleans balances
  • Participate in disposal process throughout the week
  • Validate Balances and Tools
  • Maintains quality control measures to ensure correct measurements.
  • Ensures accurate weighing.
