Responsibilities:

Data & Analytics

  • Monitor, report and present on online engagement analytics (web, email, social media, earned media)
  • Leverage key engagement metrics across platforms to optimize content, messaging and distributions

Public Relations

  • Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance brand identity, broaden awareness of program and increase visibility across key stakeholder audiences
  • Serve as primary media contact and work with PR Agencies; Develop and implement PR strategies including media outreach, issuing press releases, fielding media inquiries and creating and maintaining media lists
  • Act as "brand ambassador", ensuring proper and consistent use of naming conventions, brand attributes & logo
  • Prepare photography and other media for publication and maintain digital media library

General Marketing & Communications

  • Reports to Marketing Manager/Director of Retail
  • Marketing calendar maintenance and Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements.
  • Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
  • Conducting thorough research on various brands and product
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to develop marketing and communications plans to promote resources, research, publications, and public awareness that garner more interest from constituents and corporate partners
  • Increase awareness for research awards, including preparation and dissemination of press releases, email campaigns, blog posts, etc
  • Manage website, in conjunction with Finance, Operation and Purchasing department including: maintain integrity of website content and structure; monitor and report on key metrics from Google Analytics; and utilize Search Engine Optimization principles to maximize copy’s reach
  • Write and edit content for various mediums and email marketing efforts, including newsletter, campaign messages and fundraising e-appeals
  • Maintain communications editorial calendar for staff use for web, email and social media
  • Manage and produce the Monthly, Quarter, and Annual Report.
  • Assist in the Design and production of marketing materials such as brochures, posters, etc
  • Communication with the Brand HQ
  • Edit and proofread outgoing content and advertisement

Social Media Management

  • Manage all aspects of social media presence (website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc) including content creation for tweets, posts, videos, respond to followers/fans comments
  • Lead Social Media Marketing, Collaboration with Influencers and Youtubers
  • Drive strategy to increase daily engagement on social media accounts and Digital ad brand maintenance
  • Work with staff and contractors to develop and implement social networking strategies

You Have:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising training, quality and customer service in retail.
  • Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Most of the trusted brands you’re washing up with are made with detergents, chemicals and tallow, which is just another name for cow fat (umm… gross). Sulfates, artificial detergents and parabens can cause irritation, trigger allergies and have other unpleasant side effects.</p><p>That doesn’t exactly say “refreshing shower” to us. So we set out on a mission to find an alternative. After learning more about commercial soap ingredients, we found ourselves in a bit of a lather about the whole business.</p><p>In 2013, we began experimenting with soap recipes that are safe for your skin and contain ingredients you can actually pronounce. After making a few big messes, we created something wonderful and Buff City Soap was born.</p><p>OUR SOAP MAKERY</p><p>We handcraft each bar of Buff City soap in what we call our Soap Makeries. Each of our locations makes every product sold right there, where you can see exactly what goes into the products you put on your body. It’s a bit of a mad lab stocked with ingredients like rose petals, lavender buds, hemp seed oil, shea butter, charcoal, and tea tree oil.
