JOB PURPOSE:

The District Manager is responsible for the sales and operational practices of all stores within their district. They ensure each retail location within their district achieves or exceeds it's goals, while managing sales performance, opportunities, strategies, and tactics to achieve optimal store performance. Ensures Retail provides excellent customer experiences and supports employee development.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees all sales operations of up to 6 stores in assigned district
  • Evaluates store performance including analyzing labor performance and profitability, provides assessments, and develops store performance ranking systems
  • Collaborates with retail leaders and support team to support retail workforce planning
  • Leads market share growth strategies
  • Supports community engagement opportunities and partnerships
  • Ensures Retail employees provide excellent customer experiences including engaging with customers to evaluate satisfaction as well as offer any complaint resolutions
  • Responsible for oversight of cash handling procedures, accuracy, and reconciliations
  • Ensures new hire employees are onboarded, trained, and developed in a consistent manner
  • Ensures the implementation and use of standardized operations, tools, resources, and systems
  • Manages visual merchandising standards including cleanliness of stores and adherence to uniform policy
  • Support performance management efforts including the development and mentoring of employees in collaboration with leaders and Human Resources
  • Aligns employee productivity with scheduling needs to manage labor expenses
  • Manages store budgeting, P&L financial analysis, and evaluates controllable expenses
  • Develops store action plans to drive business, to include necessary support.
  • Ensures all locations maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees and customers to include sales floor, back room, manager offices and restrooms
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of retail management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cannabis retail management experience
  • Experience with multiple store formats and omni channel retail (in store, online, delivery)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes


COMPENSATION & BENEFIT DETAILS:

  • Pay range: $75,000 - 90,000; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications

The Following Basic Cannabis Consultant Duties will also be expected of the Store Manager as they will be working within the store during shifts sometimes alone or with double coverage. Process exchanges and refunds in accordance with company policies and procedures. Report information about any side effects experienced by customers to the Area Manager &amp; Regional Manager. Maintain the appearance, cleanliness and presentation of the store, products, signage and displays. Organize product displays and back stock products. Keep careful eye on customers to avoid thefts. Keep track of inventory. Enthusiastically introduce promotions and opportunities to customers, and cross-sell products to increase customer purchases. Answer customer emails and incoming phone calls.
