Distribution Technician - Medical Cannabis

Job Description

The primary focus of this position is to properly prepare, distribute, and receive all cannabis and non-cannabis items. This role is responsible for delivering cannabis and non-cannabis items to retail locations. Distribution Technicians will also assist in the receiving and verifying all shipments that arrive at the facility. Individuals in this role must pay attention to detail, follow directions, problem-solve, work independently and be an adaptable team player.

• Prepare inventory in accordance to company policy

• Verify that prepared inventory is correct by checking product descriptions, quantities, and lot numbers

• Ensure 100% traceability from materials to receival to transfer.

• Load and unload the inventory from designated locations to the company vehicles

• Transfer any non-cannabis materials and company documentation to and from the Gainesville facility to retail locations

• Unload shipments from various vendors to ensure that received materials are not damaged and verified against the shipping receipt

• Assist in the breakdown of pallets and organize shipping containers

• Maintain assigned vehicles, perform vehicle checks, and reporting any damages or

• necessary repairs

• Assist in the breakdown of pallets and organization of shipping containers

• Must maintain a clean and organized working space

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Warehouse or inventory preparation experience preferred

• Delivery experience preferred

• Forklift and/or pallet jack experience preferred

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background (FBI)

• Must be 21 years of age

• Excellent oral and communication skills

• Problem-identifying and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs

• Must be able to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to prioritize work with minimal direction

This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.</p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><p>• Assist our growing team in effectively and efficiently cultivating the finest medicine.</p><p>• Responsible for the daily care from seed to harvest by implementing daily feeding and care as directed by the Director of Cultivation and Garden Manager.</p><p>• Assisting with the completion of cultivation tasks including but not limited to pruning, trimming, cloning, transplanting, and harvesting of the cannabis flower.</p><p>• Routine visual inspection of plants to identify any pests, nutrient deficiencies, or diseases.</p><p>• Monitoring environmental factors to maximize production and prevent failures.</p><p>• Crop propagation to meet inventory requirements as determined by management.</p><p>• Maintaining the highest levels of maintenance, cleanliness and sanitation inside the cultivation area and storage of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to: shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, fiskars, scissors, loppers, stools, gloves, rags, and goggles.</p><p><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></p><p>• High school diploma or equivalent</p><p>• Minimum 1-year experience in horticulture, botany, or related field preferred</p><p>• Attention to detail</p><p>• Willingness to learn</p><p>• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time (ex: trimming plants, pruning plants, etc.)</p><p><b>Physical Demands:</b></p><p>• Must be able to lift 50lbs</p><p>• Extended time standing, walking, bending, reaching</p><p>• Must be able to work in Greenhouse climate conditions (80 degrees temperatures)</p><p>Salary Range: $15.00/Hr.</p><p>Mandatory Qualifications: The successful candidate will need to be 21 years of age and in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
