Cultivation Technician Job Description

Position Summary:

Provides manual labor to support the activities and operations of the Cultivation Department, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist with the coordination of all grow operations including: Daily Activities, Quality Assurance, Potting, Manicuring, Harvesting, and Trimming as well as assuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements.

· Responsible for executing assigned tasks, projects, and expectations in accordance with Freedom Road Garden’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

· Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing: Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers and report employee issues or product situations.

· Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.

· Responsible for performing detailed manicuring of plant materials, running the trim machine, sorting trim, weighing, and recording all plant material and waste accurately.

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of Freedom Road Garden and its clients.

· Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.

· Basic math skills and ability to properly operate a scale.

· Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.

· Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives.

· Ability to work well in a Team Oriented Environment.

Work Environment-

This job operates in a greenhouse environment. Conditions are often humid, hot, and bright. Standard gardening equipment is often used in this job.

Physical Demands-

This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual activity. Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Expected Hours of Work-

Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Additional Requirements

Must be 21 or older.

Must be occupationally licensed to work in the MMJ industry.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

We give.</p><p>Curaleaf is seeking a Lead Dispensary Associate who will be responsible for ensuring each Curaleaf patient receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly environment, assist members with their personal needs, maintain solid product knowledge, facilitate new membership and member renewal processes and always provide the highest level of customer service. The Lead Dispensary Associate will provide guidance to the team as the subject matter expert and is responsibile for ensuring all associates are providing outstanding service.</p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><p>• Be available as an escalation point for questions or issues that patients have.</p><p>• Participate in New Hire Onboarding for new Associates, providing guidance and training.</p><p>• Assist with tracking of inventory and inventory audits.</p><p>• Keyholder to the store and the vault to assist with restocking product as necessary on the sales floor.</p><p>• Assist the Assistant Manager and Manager as necessary.</p><p>• Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards.</p><p>• Develop and maintain rapport with our patients, vendors, service providers and staff.</p><p>• Ensure members' concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate member requests and/or problems to management when needed.</p><p>• Recommend, select and help locate the proper medicine for patient depending on their individual needs.</p><p>• Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to patients clearly and effectively.</p><p>• Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management.</p><p>• Set up and break down display cases daily. Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping.</p><p>• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock, and participate in inventory counts.</p><p>• Answer phone calls and forward to the appropriate staff member.</p><p>• Frequently maintain dispensary's cleanliness, i.e. dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and sanitization.</p><p>• Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.</p><p>• Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.</p><p>• Perform other related work as required.</p><p><b>Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:</b></p><p>• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p><p>• 2+ years customer facing experience in retail or sales</p><p>• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.</p><p>• Experience in the medical cannabis industry desirable, but not required.</p><p>• Must be 21 years old and pass the criminal background check.</p><p>• Must be able to work weekends, evenings and some holidays</p><p>• Excellent oral and written communication skills</p><p>• Proficient computing skills</p><p>• Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match</p><p>• Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction</p><p>• High level of integrity</p><p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><p>Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, credit card machine, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus.
