Reporting to the SVP, Operations - Auxly, or a designate thereof, the Director, Operations - KOLAB will execute site-level business strategy and execution, deliver operational and commercial business plans, and provide leadership to all organizational resources within KOLAB.

This role will prioritize upholding all Auxly values and commitments, execute a culture at KOLAB that holds quality, safety, and efficacy as part of their core business values, and safeguard KOLAB’S overall profitability and success.

• Manage all production commitments, ensuring they are within allocated budget and timelines, to meet targets and ensure efficient use of labor and materials.

• Conduct benchmarking and share-learning followed by action plans to improve efficiencies, productivity, lead-times, overall costs of operating and implement best practices.

• Cultivate a continuous improvement and lean manufacturing (Kaizen) culture.

• Provide leadership and coaching with the management team and drive the implementation of manufacturing best practices.

• Participate in leadership team meeting and drive operational excellence initiatives across the function in collaboration with peers.

• Direct the Operations Manager to drive plant performance to exceed quality and efficiency standards.

• Ensure established operating and financial performance targets are achieved, develop and lead team(s) to measure and exceed these targets.

• Coordinate plant and corporate resources to resolve material, process, and production problems in the plant.

• Work closely and cross-functionally with senior management, internal departments including Finance, Commercial, Operations, People and Culture, Infrastructure as well other internal stakeholders to align on business objectives, risks, and opportunities.

• Driving cross-functional projects to completion and developing efficiencies to track progress and ensure proactive mitigation as needed towards operational goals.

• Work collaboratively with SVP, Operations - Auxly in proactively and expediently identifying and framing risks and opportunities to ensure decision making and operational pivots.

• In collaboration with Sr. Management, develop site budgets and allocation, manage monthly P&L’s.

• Support the roll out, and continued development of DAILY workforce Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and the effective communication of those to the site.

• Develop and present Capex requirements with full ROI analysis included

• Other related tasks as assigned.

• Minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable experience in a people leadership and management role with interactions with manufacturing/processing plants.

• Previous experience managing and overseeing a multi-site/subsidiary scale-up including managing budgets and workforce planning.

• Previously demonstrated intellectual and emotional intelligence to tactically partner cross-functionally in the pursuit of shared business outcomes.

• Demonstrable experience of Opex, Capex and P&L management, with a history of delivering on operational and project budgets

• Operational Excellence Certification - Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt and Design for Six Sigma.

• Proven ability to exceed expectations while working in a fast-paced environment.

• High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical proficiency with demand planning systems.

• Self-motivated with strong decision-making abilities.

• Previous working experience and proficiency in using Sage in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated working proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

• Project Management experience with a PMP certification would be an asset.
