JOB SUMMARY

The Dispensary Manager of Sunnyside* Phoenixville, PA is responsible for day-to-day team leadership and delivering a profitable business which supports Cresco Labs’ mission to normalize, professionalize and revolutionize the cannabis industry. You will ensure the dispensary achieves or exceeds all key metrics and goals across all aspects of the dispensary including customer acquisition and loyalty, merchandising, operations, and talent development. This role will serve as the link between the Sunnyside* brand vision of providing access to consistent high-quality cannabis and cannabis knowledge and the operations of the store.

• Experience leading and motivating a team of hourly and salary employees; skills include recruiting, onboarding, training, managing employee relations and coaching.

CORE JOB DUTIES

People Management:

• Build and sustain a high-performing team through employee selection, onboarding, coaching and clear accountability for results.

• Conduct at least monthly 1:1 quality conversations with each assistant manager and quarterly 1:1s with each store employee.

• Assess team performance, skill gaps, and career aspirations of employees; solicit or provide resources, trainings or procedures to support team needs.

• Analyze and determine effective headcount requirements and labor schedules that account for store sales trends, department objectives and labor laws.

• Motivate and inspire dispensary team to exceed revenue targets and KPIs, with an emphasis on selling and cross-selling techniques.

• Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues.

• Ensure employees are knowledgeable and coached to navigate any regulatory changes.

• Ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and customers

Sales & Operational Excellence:

• Provide regular updates, feedback, and solutions to corporate retail leadership across all areas of dispensary operations.

• Establish and nurture key business partner relationships across Human Resources, Outreach, Compliance, Security, Employees Health & Safety, Marketing, Construction and IT.

• Drive profitable sales through forecasting, scheduling, outstanding customer service and execution of programs and initiatives.

• Identify business and competitor risks; analyze metrics to help increase market share.

• Support outreach efforts/community partnerships to build a positive image within the community, drive brand awareness, and draw new patients.

• Establish daily operations procedures with an eye towards improvement and efficiency.

• Oversee inventory activities ensuring product requirements are met and deliveries are on time.

• Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, guest records, sales, deliveries and returns.

• Perform monthly audit reporting and store visit checklist with Area Manager.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, state, and local laws.

• Serve as point of contact for state regulators and local authorities, overseeing any inspections or audits

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in business or comparable experience

• 5-7 years of retail management experience required; Cannabis knowledge or dispensary leadership experience a plus

• Experience managing teams of 10 or more with layers of leadership, preferably in a high-volume location with a focus on team development.

• Demonstrated ability to learn, apply and teach others technical, product-related information in a professional consultative manner.

• Experience working closely with HR teams and processes.

• A high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency

• Proficient in MS Office, Highly Proficient in MS Excel with experience in data entry and data management

• Strong business acumen including excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Reporting to the VP of Finance, this individual will lead a team of direct and indirect reports.</p><p>With the assistance of the financial reporting team, this individual will oversee all SEC and CSA filings under US GAAP, quarterly reviews and audits of the parent company and it’s subsidiaries. This individual will be the subject matter expert for all complex technical accounting research and analysis. The individual will also be involved in the implementation of the company’s ERP system.</p><p><b>Responsibilities :</b></p><p>• Responsible for preparation, accurate reporting, and filing of SEC reports</p><p>• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP accounting.</p><p>• Remain current on new pronouncements and technical accounting issues. Analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB and prepare memorandums summarizing the impact on the Company and corporate accounting policy.</p><p>• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for key complex accounting areas including Investments, Joint Ventures, Equity and Stock-based Compensation, and Goodwill and Intangibles, as well as coordinating the annual goodwill impairment analysis.</p><p>• Create, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to promote consistency in the accounting treatment throughout the organization.</p><p>• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors.</p><p>• Assist Finance with other initiatives/projects, as requested. Prepare / review supporting schedules for quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring reasonability and review/approvals for SOX compliance</p><p>• Review consolidated results and follow-up with divisional finance teams on variances and issues as required</p><p>• Review quarterly earnings release, including critically assessing executive and investor information</p><p>• Coordinate with the legal, operations and other teams to consolidate required information for the management</p><p>• Prepare and maintain the quarterly financial reporting calendar, including coordinating with external auditors and executives from the finance, legal and investor relations teams</p><p>• Identify and implement process improvements in the month-end / quarter-end close process to ensure it is performed accurately and on a timely basis</p><p>• Prepare / review accounting memos for transactions, including investments, business combinations, joint arrangements, revenue recognition, lease accounting</p><p>• Ensure complex and non-routine transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and appropriately disclosed such as mergers and acquisitions, debt offerings, new product initiatives etc., adoption of new standards, as well as general corporate accounting matters</p><p><b>Education and Required Skills:</b></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance (MBA Preferred)</p><p>• 10 years of experience in a multi-state company environment and/or</p><p>• Big 4 accounting firm experience (minimum 2 busy seasons)</p><p>• 3+ years SEC Reporting Experience</p><p>• Strong technical accounting skills</p><p>• Active CPA designation required</p><p>• Strong analytical skills and understanding of ERP systems</p><p>• Experience with XBRL tagging</p><p>• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work streams and strong attention to detail</p><p>• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively</p><p>• Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills</p><p>• Ability to collaborate nationally, at all levels of the organization, and across other functional areas</p><p>• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality</p><p>• Preferred knowledge of manufacturing and Consumer Product Goods Industry</p><p>• Capable of working in fast paced deadline driven environment</p><p>Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 plus Bonus, Equity and Health Benefits</p><p>If this sounds like the position you have been waiting for, please apply using the online application or the link below - all inquiries are strictly confidential. This position directly reports to the Vice President of Sales.</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p>Leadership Development</p><p>Manage retail leadership with clear communication and both immediate and long-term actionable plans</p><p>Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Time-bound) goals for direct reports and maintain quarterly progress meetings</p><p>Perform annual staff performance evaluations</p><p>Promote knowledge sharing throughout the retail organization and build a culture of continuous learning</p><p>Coach staff on retail best practices and use of data for informed decision-making</p><p>Work closely with dispensary manager on budtender training content and delivery formats</p><p>Responsible for communicating expectations on training, development, empowerment, positive management practices, employee relations, preventive labor practices, and adherence to all company policies and practices</p><p>Strategy &amp; Planning</p><p>Set and own the end-to-end customer experience strategy for retail to increase trial, repeat purchase, and brand loyalty</p><p>Work closely with Marketing and Sales on customer acquisition through advertising and direct to consumer channels</p><p>Partner with Marketing to uphold retail brand standards, ensuring the store looks and feels like a premium shopping experience seven days a week</p><p>Ensure flawless execution of events, promotions and all customer-facing activities at retail</p><p>Metrics &amp; Reporting</p><p>Analyze sales data to inform product mix, buying, and behavioral trends</p><p>Generate and present a thorough monthly sales report for executive management</p><p>Track forecasted to actual retail revenue</p><p>Conduct regular meetings, as needed with Senior Management staff to review critical KPI's, obtain feedback and determine the appropriate level of assistance</p><p>Craft sales strategies and continuous improvement recommendations using available data sources</p><p>Operations Oversight</p><p>Continuously evaluate Retail related standard operating procedures for functionality and edit as needed</p><p>Support store setup of the current and all future locations</p><p>Work closely with the Director of Compliance to ensure Retail location remains in operational compliance with 935 CMR 500 and support B&amp;M's culture of compliance</p><p>Establish regular check ins with dispensary manager to review operational flow, efficiency and alignment with customer experience strategy</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>5-10 years retail leadership experience</p><p>Professional demeanor in person, over the phone and in writing</p><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills; active listening a must</p><p>Extreme attention to detail; ensuring staff and customers always have the most accurate information and presenting it with care and confidence</p><p>Solid project management and follow up skills with the ability to strategically plan from concept through execution</p><p>Desire to continuously improve the customer experience and meet sales goals</p><p>Data analysis skills and familiarity with basic business intelligence tools</p><p>Ability to interpret data to support sound decision making</p><p>Passionate leader who enjoys mentoring direct reports and providing hands on direction</p><p>Good eye for improvement opportunities and professional growth</p><p>Strong retail background and proven track record of success overseeing at least two or more retail stores</p><p>Prior cannabis experience or regulated industry experience a plus</p><p>Committed to and passionate about supporting diversity, equity and inclusion</p><p>Knowledge of Massachusetts cannabis regulations or willingness to build up a working knowledge of regulatory requirements quickly</p><p>Passionate about the growing social acceptance of cannabis, desire to increase Adult Use access and reduce the stigma associated with its use</p><p>Cannabis product knowledge a plus</p><p>For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
