Position Summary:

Charlotte’s Web is seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Director of Media to join our team. This individual will own and manage self-serve media campaigns across Google Ads (formerly AdWords) and The Trade Desk supporting Charlottes Webs full portfolio of products. They must be detail-oriented, be able to work across multiple departments in the organization, be quality-minded, and customer-centric. They should have experience with awareness and performance planning/buying, campaign budget pacing, ad server trafficking, conversion tracking, and website analytics tools. They should have experience optimizing campaigns towards both eCommerce and Retail KPIs.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner and a creative problem-solver who enjoys being a team leader in a fast-paced, changing environment. This position sits on our D2C Channel Sales team and will be accountable for contributing to both marketing, B2B Sales, and D2C Sales goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive new growth across key customer acquisition channels including Display, Search, Paid Social and Affiliate
  • Develop and manage strategic performance-centric campaigns including analysis and optimization of the full-funnel experience
  • Develop and manage brand building media and innovative partnerships with digital and OOH media partners
  • Own and manage paid search campaigns within Google Ads (formerly AdWords)
  • Research and develop scripts to automate Google Ads (formerly AdWords) optimizations
  • Own and manage programmatic campaigns within The Trade Desk
  • Work with outside media partners to optimize spend against goals (mostly mid- and bottom of the funnel)
  • Ensure media campaigns are aligned to D2C goals (traffic, conversion) and Marketing goals (awareness, brand engagement)
  • Partner with cross-functionals teams on promotion/acquisition plans to deliver against sales goals
  • Coordinate with the creative team on asset spec requirements and creative needs and deliver insights back on performance
  • Manage communicating and executing promotional and marketing calendar with all paid partners
  • Continue to manage existing Affiliate Program with outside vendor, including building relationships with partners and maintaining strict content compliance with all members of the Charlotte’s Web Affiliate program
  • Identify new Affiliate partners and help develop terms that are mutually beneficial to the business and our partners
  • Work with the creative and D2C Dev team to develop optimized campaign landing pages
  • Partner with brand, web, creative, social, and digital partners to create relevancy, connection points and a consistent experience for our consumers across paid media channels
  • Assist in ad trafficking and conversion tracking requests within Adform and Adobe Launch, maintaining strict, standard naming conventions
  • Troubleshoot issues related to ad trafficking and conversion tracking, coordinating cross-department to define a solution, an action plan, and a timeline for implementation
  • Keyword research
  • Competitive analysis to inform conquesting customers from other brands
  • Write paid search ad copy
  • Supervise a small team of Media Managers (1 currently)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience The Trade Desk
  • 2+ years of experience in Google Ads (formerly AdWords)
  • 2+ years of experience with an ad server (preferably Adform)
  • JavaScript experience preferred
  • DMP experience preferred, Adobe Audience Manager experience a plus
  • Print, linear TV and terrestrial radio buying and analytics experience a plus
  • Product feed proficiency
  • Digital skills include paid media, web analytics (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), tag management systems, fractional/multi-touch/causal attribution, and pixel QA
  • Competent in metrics that drive online performance and those that drive retail performance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Business, Analytics or Economics a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Strong Excel skills preferred (i.e. Visual Basic, accessing external databases, turnkey formulas)
  • Ability to juggle multiple media platforms and campaigns

Compensation:
