Great new opportunity Our client is lookin for a large-scale cultivation manager who has knowledge and experience managing a large cultivation facility. An agriculture degree would be a big asset but not required.They are in the beginning stages of constructing a 35,000 +SF facility with over 600 lights. However, they currently have multiple units which we would like a new hire to oversee while they build the new facility.The Director of Cultivation is responsible for all aspects of the company's cultivation operation from propagation through to trimming. The Director of Cultivation possess oversight of all day-to-day activities of plant planning, cloning, watering, defoliating, transplanting, harvesting and trimming of all plant material. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring that the facility is safe and compliant with state and local regulations and all company policies and standard operating procedures are adhered to. Detailed record keeping and strict adherence to the company's operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position. The Director of Cultivation also provides oversight for all new research and development regarding cannabis cultivation, equipment and tech. They will also ensure that all new employees are trained properly in all aspects of the cultivation production and company's operating procedures.Oversee production, scheduling and properly delegate all cultivation duties Propagation management and schedulingRoom management and schedulingManage genetics and ensure new strains are rotating through the gardens Monitoring plant health and addressing issues effectively if they arise Monitoring pest management and addressing issues effectively if they arise Oversee irrigation systems and scheduled

This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.</p><p>Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities</p><p>• The primary function of the Director of Operations is to manage and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the HEMP/CBD extraction plant and white label production.</p><p>• Provide direction to employees on shift to ensure production schedules are met, quality standards are achieved, equipment is maintained, and work is done in a safe manner.</p><p>• Providing expectations, accountability, and direction to facility supervisors, analytical development specialists, lab technicians, and extraction supervisors to achieve production targets and budgeted improvements in revenue, ROS, yield and productivity.</p><p>• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies</p><p>• Assist operator teams as needed including management, production, troubleshooting</p><p>• Lead the introduction of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency or increase throughput.</p><p>• Quality control review</p><p>• Manage, monitor, and oversee inventory.</p><p>• Ensuring GMP compliance</p><p>• Responsible for overseeing facility safety procedures and schedules, production processes, inventory, and vendor relations</p><p>• Serves as a resource for extraction, packaging, and processing staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of all packaging and processing activities, including employee records, inventory records, deliveries, and returns in accordance with State laws and regulations, GMP, and Vantage standards</p><p>• Responsible for the preparation and execution of CBD infused product line through the measuring, mixing, and processing of product in accordance with the State and standards set by Vantage</p><p>• Ensures consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing and procedures outlined by SOP</p><p>• Assist with other duties as assigned.</p><p>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Material Science, Operations Management, Business or other related fields; and/or combination of education and equivalent relevant years of experience</p><p><b>Experience</b></p><p>• 5+ years of hemp/CBD and/or Cannabis experience, preferably in a production facility/manufacturing environment.</p><p>• 5+ years of prior management experience and responsibility of managing P &amp; L statements.</p><p>Specialized Skills</p><p>• Strong supervisory skills, can self-motivate, and create and lead a well-functioning team environment</p><p>• Strong attention to detail required, along with the ability to work independently, think critically and problem solve a broad range of technical issues</p><p>• Strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment</p><p>• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, process improvement methodologies.</p><p>• Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and/or ISO 9001 equipment requirements.</p><p>• Knowledge of maintenance functions in an FDA-regulated facility.</p><p>• Possess strong knowledge of CBD and a solid understanding of the market, competition, and business opportunities</p><p>Supervisory Expectations: Directly manages a team of three or more employees.</p><p>Physical Demands and Work Environment: (The phrases “occasionally,” “regularly,” and “frequently” correspond to the following definitions: “occasionally” means up to ? of working time, “regularly” means between ? and ? of working time, and “frequently” means ? and more of working time.)</p><p>• The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, dust, chemicals, machinery, high voltage equipment, OSHA hazards, and employees walking through and conversing, conversations carrying over, and interruptions requiring the employee to answer questions from others.</p><p>• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The expected hours for this role will vary and plan to be 24 hours a day for the production facility in the near future. Employees' hours vary and are dependent on business needs.</p><p>Work Week: Monday through Friday, at 40+ hours a week and may vary with the workload.
