The Director of Retail Operations is responsible for optimizing the retail experience and ensuring seamless operation with tight compliance and inventory controls. This is a heavily people-oriented management role that ensures all Store SOPs are carried out in smooth and disciplined manner. The Director will work very closely with the Market Leaders, and Managers to ensure each department is aligned with budget projections and operational goals. To achieve this, the Director must learn and integrate all components of our existing SOPs, ensure organizational readiness, and manage the day-to-day operations such that we consistently achieve profitability.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the store workforce management team to drive efficiencies in store scheduling, payroll forecasting, reporting and administration of incentive programs.

• Partner with the finance and accounting department to analyze store incentive programs to recommend changes that will drive top line growth and/or expense savings; as well as, manage store expenses and drive cost savings.

• Create a consistent in-store experience for customers; work with operations leaders to ensure store experience meets expectations consistently.

• Primary liaison between the executive management team and location to ensure that all information is communicated in a timely, consistent, and brand appropriate manner.

• Develop retail policies and procedures with the human resources team and incorporate into daily operations.

• Ensure operations are in full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws in Nevada.

• Monitor and/or adjust KPIs and work with each Dispensary Management to meet and exceed goals.

• Monitor staffing levels and other operational aspects to optimize store performance.

• Responsible for communicating regional performance and feedback to Executive Management.

• Stay informed of new technology and cannabis industry initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency within store.

• Partner with the Human Resources department to support training, talent management, employee relations & morale.

• Partner with Compliance and Safety to ensure Operations in consistently meeting the expectations and compliance regulations of CCB.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• 7 to 10 years retail experience, specifically in field operations, sales, workforce management and communications.

• At least 5 years' experience in a management or supervisory position

• Experience in the Operations within the Cannabis industry a plus.

• Understanding the uniqueness of the Las Vegas Market and consumer behavior.

• Must be a collaborative team player who can both nurture and develop management.

• Strong organizational, project management and time management skills to successfully implement strategic initiatives from initial idea through execution.

• Strong quantitative, analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

This is a critical role in PAX Labs for growth and continued market success, this person will own all aspects of global supply chain spanning multiple contract manufacturers and suppliers. Candidates should be familiar with best practices for managing vendor relationships with a variety of Asian and American suppliers for a high-volume electronics product. This position will evolve over time as production ramps and the team grows. We need someone who will be comfortable with a hands-on approach and who can tackle a breadth of responsibilities. The processes will be evolving as well and so the person will need to lead efforts to put the right systems and processes in place for materials management.<br />You must be passionate about solving complex supply chain planning and execution challenges, from planning, sourcing, buying, and logistics to relationship management. Internally, you will work closely with our VP of Operations, engineering team, and our demand planning function in a highly collaborative environment. This role is responsible for ensuring each department meet their monthly/quarterly/yearly production goals. The Director of Production ensures timely delivery of goods to the market and ensures the quality standards of the company are maintained at every level of production. Due to the hands-on nature of cannabis production, the Director of Production must be able to lead by example. This role works closely with the Head of Cultivation, Head of Inventory &amp; Logistics, Director of Wholesale, Finance and reports directly to the Director of Operations.</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITES:</b></p><p><b>Departmental Oversight:</b></p><p>Extractions, MIP’s, Packaging, Testing &amp; Lab Relations, Product Development</p><p>• Maintains clear and consistent communication with department heads</p><p>• Bridges gaps in departmental process and issues directives with clear goals for success</p><p>• Measures success and areas of improvement and shares results with department heads on a regular basis</p><p>• Ensures all staffing goals are met in each department and monitors any potential retention risks in real time</p><p>• Understands and monitors expected yields and outputs by department</p><p>• Works directly with the Head of Cultivation and Head Grower to ensure all company SOP’s are being followed and KPI’s are met on a consistent basis</p><p>Production Planning and Product Development</p><p>• Works with Director of Wholesale &amp; Purchasing to plan and execute monthly production goals.</p><p>• Ensures proper par levels of cannabis products and supplies are maintained in each department and conducts regular checks on costing where necessary</p><p>• Works with finance to maintain all COGS and provides input on product pricing to the Sales team</p><p>• Tracks and reviews processing logs to ensure production accuracy at all levels</p><p>• Directly oversees project management team responsible for product development</p><p>• Maintains high-level relationships with all VIP vendors</p><p>• Ensures Lab team executes testing samples in an efficient manner and communicates any potential impacts on production planning/goals</p><p>Production Efficiency, Compliance &amp; Workplace Safety Oversight</p><p>• Automation and process flow champion</p><p>• Requests, manages and tracks regular efficiency time studies in each production department (as needed) to ensure the facility maintains a cutting edge standard</p><p>• Works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure scheduling of routine maintenance for building and equipment; along with ensuring all safety protocols are being enforced</p><p>• Ensures all SOP’s are updated and maintained by department</p><p>• Works with compliance team to state current on all CCC regulations pertaining to production</p><p>• Trains and maintains compliance standards with METRC by department</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p>• Preferred - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the cannabis industry with a focus on production planning, product development and personnel management or equivalent experience in a Production environment.</p><p>• Proven track record of operating in a highly regulated industry; specific understanding of PA compliance regulations.</p><p>• Preferred proficiency in the following technical areas: METRC, Leaf Logics, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets, Project Management software.</p><p>• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or commensurate experience in the cannabis industry.</p><p>• Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the PA Cannabis Commission.</p><p>• Able to pass all background checks as mandated by PA Cannabis Commission.</p><p>• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.</p><p><b>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE</b></p><p>• Prior Cannabis Industry Experience preferred.</p><p>• Experience operating in or managing a high-volume MIPs Program, Extractions Lab &amp;
