The Role

Nabis is seeking a Director of Operations, Infrastructure to join our team in LA or the Bay Area. The key responsibilities are to lead our infrastructural strategy, technical growth planning, CapEx project management, and ongoing fleet and facilities management. This person will work closely with Operations, Technology, and Finance to build the foundation of Nabis’ distribution business. The ideal candidate will be one part entrepreneur, one part operator, one part engineer.

Position Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate a strategic vision for determining the role of infrastructure and large CapEx projects on Nabis’ operation across a litany of key topics, including fleet, storage, labor, automation, robots, IoT, etc.

• Serve as the primary technical leader on Nabis’ CapEx and Infrastructural projects, owning a large CapEx budget across the project lifecycle - from ideation and procurement through implementation and iteration

• Work alongside our Director of Operations, Expansion to drive the technical operations roll-out of launching in new regions

• Build processes and metrics to efficiently monitor, maintain, and communicate the health of the fleet and facilities

• Oversee the strategy and execution of procurement, management, and maintenance of our full vehicle fleet

• Determine and execute strategic IT projects, working with regional leads to ensure effective implementation and maintenance

• Serve as the primary leader for Fleet and Facilities managers across all locations, from scheduling to process to performance management

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-use quality tech/supply chain products in high growth settings with shifting priorities and stakeholders

• BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain, engineering, or relevant field; MS/MA/MBA a plus

• 7+ years of Budget and P&L management experience

• 7+ years of people management experience

• 7+ of technical experience in engineering, data analysis for physical operations, development, etc.

• 10+ years of project management or process manager experience

• Must be able to pass a background check

The Assistant Processing Manager is responsible for assisting in managing all departments of our processing operations including but not limited to the extraction, analytical lab, batching, production, edibles, shipping, quality, and receiving areas.</p><p><b>Principal Accountabilities:</b></p><p>• Assist in overseeing and managing all processing employees to perform the tasks necessary to process and get ready for market high quality cannabis products</p><p>• Assist in overseeing production by creating and reviewing production schedule; studying and clarifying specifications; calculating processing requirements</p><p>• Responsible for all plant management activities during the off shifts</p><p>• Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state and federal regulations</p><p>• Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements</p><p>• Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs etc?</p><p>• Assure that the production schedules and manpower requirements are properly met and monitored</p><p>Required Qualifications</p><p>• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment</p><p>• Ability to lead &amp; influence without authority</p><p>• Proven leadership skills</p><p>• 5+ years relevant experience in business operations</p><p>• 5+ years as a Supervisor, manager or leading others</p><p>• Demonstrated experience in business acumen</p><p>• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English</p><p>• Demonstrated safety culture with people and products</p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><p>• Operational &amp; technical skills &amp; Maintenance Reliability expertise</p><p>• Demonstrated progressive leadership growth</p><p>• Leads in a manner that engages employees and ensures a safe, inclusive, diverse work culture</p><p>• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and practices</p><p>• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, or Engineering.</p><p>• Effectiveness in coaching, motivating and developing high performing individuals and teams.</p><p>• Demonstrates expertise in process management and project management</p><p>• Bi-lingual Spanish speaker (preferred)</p><p>What is expected of you and others at this level?</p><p>• Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, frontline supervisors and/or business support staff</p><p>• Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals</p><p>• Ensures employees operate within guidelines</p><p>• Decisions have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers</p><p>• Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels may interact with senior management</p><p>• Interactions normally involves resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects</p><p>• Gains consensus from various parties involved</p><p>• Be able to support cost savings and new product installation projects and teams.</p><p>Salary will be commensurate with experience.
