We are a fast growing startup with proven brands in the Cannabis Industry and looking for a new department lead. We are transitioning from agency developed brands,packaging and strategies to a complete in house department. You will be the first boots on the ground with this department.

The Marketing/Creative Director will be responsible for developing and executing marketing channels and programs focused on communications, demand generation, product marketing,brand development, packaging design and new product introduction. They will need to build a team of highly skilled professionals with the goal of creating the best marketing and branding department in our industry as we scale. The ideal candidate will have a broad and deep knowledge of B2B omnichannel marketing practices with an appreciation of B2C methodology. The expectations of this position will include strategizing, executing and managing multiple marketing, branding and design projects at the same time with a constant eye toward developing scalable processes while creating informative reporting structures. Our future team member will possess a broad set of skills with several areas of specialization that are supported by their passionate curiosity, high level acuity in analysis, communications with exemplary organizational skills and team leadership skills. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of driving demand generation, product/brand positioning and developing dynamic product messaging who maintain a high level of self motivation and adaptability while able to work well in both professional and non traditional business settings that both maintain a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge , supports and helps development of mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, in the marketing department
  • Research and analysis of customer behavior for purchasing habits, trends and preferences
  • Design and implement successful marketing campaigns for all product lines
  • Brand/Product line Development
  • Product Packaging design and development
  • Establish and implement tracking procedures for all campaigns and marketing activities
  • Identify and analyze competitors products and marketing strategies to identify opportunities in market.
  • Closely collaborate with the Sales department to identify and produce all marketing collateral required to assist in account and sales acquisition.
  • Craft clear and concise marketing copy for all products and marketing campaigns
  • Work with production team to ensure that all marketing material is ready for market prior to product being ready for sale.
  • Provide direction, project management, and execution of the content strategy to increase traffic engagement and conversions of all Brand websites, product pages, etc.
  • Manages audience segmentation strategy including research and insights, customer identification and nurturing activities
  • Work with sales team management to create full funnel marketing plans including account acquisition, retention and upgrade programs.
  • Provide input into other marketing and product plans and objectives based on understanding the customer, product and market demands.
  • Perform market research and analysis.
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Develops marketing campaigns for new products and services, including formulating a specific budget and expenditure plan for each.
  • Work with every department to build all encompassing strategies around existing products, new products, services, marketing and social strategies
  • Furnishes marketing advice, counsel and general staff support to all departments within the organization.
  • Implements the recommendations of the strategic marketing plan.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Assists in developing brochures or other print or electronic ads to market corporate services and products.
  • Is responsible for recruitment and orientation and on-boarding for departmental personnel.
  • Assists in developing a product evaluation process for dispensary customers as well as end users to gain market feedback.

The ideal candidate will need to possess a solid understanding in production operations and will directly oversee trimming, post-harvest operations, etc.</p><p>An ideal candidate will possess at least one to three years of experience in a similar capacity in the cannabis and/or hemp industry and have overseen cannabis grow facilities of 50,000 square feet or larger.
