John's journey in the staffing industry is truly a Canadian achievement. Dating back to 1995, when John joined the staffing industry right out of college. He was 20 years old.John has spent several years with large multinational companies helping to develop the Canadian market. With a string of accomplishments under his belt, including 9 years of industry experience and a track record of success, John felt it was time for a new challenge. With all the rapid changes affecting the industry, John noticed the degradation of values within the industry from which he had built his experience. Thinking that this was enough, he decided to reintroduce quality in the industry. He didn't know it at the time - but that quality standard later became PQAP (People Store Quality Assurance Program). With the encouragement of a close friend and already successful entrepreneur, Frank Cianciulli, John decided to go it alone and create a new kind of recruiting firm. In 2003, John designed his business plan and started the business from his kitchen table. With just an idea, a dream and a ton of ambition, John started one of the most successful staffing companies to ever reach the Canadian market.

Job ID: 24914916

___________________

People Store

","company":{"name":"People Store Staffing Solutions Inc"},"location":{"country":"Canada","address":"Canada"},"frontendLink":"/job-posting/people-store-staffing-solutions-inc/inventory-clerk-cannabis/2fd9e3877da892f40c44654664c4e955","title":"Inventory Clerk - Cannabis","category":"Agriculture & Farming","hash":"2fd9e3877da892f40c44654664c4e955","postingUrl":"https://ca.jooble.org/jdp/3169900317703004100/Inventory-Clerk-+-Cannabis-Ontario"},{"salaries":[{"salaryStart":"$50k","salaryEnd":"$140k","currency":"US","source":"ZipRecruiter","position":"Cultivation Manager","type":"per year","url":"https://www.ziprecruiter.com/Salaries/Cultivation-Manager-Salary-in-Pueblo,CO"},{"salaryStart":"$62k","salaryEnd":"$66k","currency":"US","source":"Glassdoor","position":"Director Of Cultivation","type":"per year","url":"https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/Karmaceuticals-Director-of-Cultivation-Denver-Salaries-EJI_IE3117933.0,14_KO15,38_IL.39,45_IM234.htm"}],"function":["Cultivation"],"postedOn":"2 days ago","description":"

Our client, an established and vertically integrated Colorado cannabis company, is seeking a Cultivation Manager for its newer cultivation site outside of Pueblo, CO.

The Cultivation Manager will be responsible for the operations of a large scale, outdoor farm and greenhouse commercial cannabis cultivation

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hire and supervise cultivation staff, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Manage and oversee employee activities for all farm operations including propagation, planting, cultivating, irrigation, harvesting, product processing, production and record keeping.

• Maintain records for production rates, management practices, compliance reporting, and prepare financial and operational reports.

• Plan and direct operations for optimum success and maximum crop production

• Plan operations based on factors such as crop maturity, weather conditions, pest mitigation etc.

• Inspect crops for Insects, disease and general health.

• Responsible for all supply and equipment purchasing.

• Work with the owners to establish and maintain a working budget

• Maintain records for production rates, management practices, compliance reporting, and prepare financial and operational reports.

• Maintain financial, operational, and employment records

• Enforce compliance, safety and company policies

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

• 7-10 years’ experience cultivating in a large-scale commercial, production environment.

• Experience cultivation in Colorado preferred

• A background and education in management, horticulture, agronomy, soil science or related fields

• Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, cultivating, handling and harvesting products for consumption.

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

• Farm or agricultural experience

• Experience managing large teams

• Ability to plan and organize specific objectives and prioritize

• Ability to store, record and maintain information in electronic and written form

• Ability to analyze data and problem solve efficiently

• Ability to anticipate problems, troubleshoot and problem solve.
