A Dispensary General Manager (GM) is the primary leadership individual at the store level skilled at leading a team and increasing revenue! This highly trained, efficient, and consequential team member is motivated by results, guided by data, and loves the grind of cannabis leadership! The DispensaryGeneral Manager reports to the Vice President of the organization and is responsible for the overall performance of the retail store, including but not limited to sales, inventory management, cash management, reporting, marketing, compliance, safety, merchandising, staffing, training, scheduling, and evaluations.

Duties:

Be able to work 5 days a week, up to 10 hours per day. Display strong leadership skills.Lead the dispensary team in accordance with the company’s mission, goals, and objectives. Increase revenue. Meet or exceed revenue and expense KPIs Execute projects and tasks thoroughly Work independently to create and manage adaptable workflows for the dispensary staff. Develop standard operating procedures and maintain high standards throughout team and organization Provide excellent customer service to all guests. Display excitement and openness while interacting with guests throughout the entire shift. Be adaptable and flexible to rapid change due to business needs and requirements Manage staff. Including performance, behavior, time clocks & time management, vacations & schedules, and supporting payroll processes. Work well interdepartmentally and across the enterprise with all co-workers, partners, vendors, etc. Work to ensure accounting & finance has the reporting and information they need to operate AP

& AR. Oversee, manage, and assume responsibility for supply chain management, including purchasing, pricing, margin, promotions, etc. Oversee, manage, and assume responsibility for sales performance of the store. Work closely with the marketing team, VP, & vendors to create strong performing promotions that drive sales & brand awareness.

Ensure customer satisfaction Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry-wide products and brands Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory, ensuring an assortment of products, and communicating inventory issues to VP. Oversee, manage, and assume responsibility for all data in the softwares platforms utilized by the dispensary, namely Point of Sale, CRMs, loyalty software, e-commerce, websites, delivery, display menus, etc.

  • Appropriately delegate (if applicable) tasks assigned during scheduled shift, including:

Correct cash handling and discount application Verification of proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for patients Accurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system Assistance in verifying order deliveries for accuracy Security measures, safety, and compliance Maintenance of an organized, well merchandised, and sanitary store Management of visitor log Maintenance of open communication with the management team and other coworkers.Identify, communicate, and resolve problems early Reporting of team member or customer service issues Work with staff to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations.Define roles and responsibilities of positions alongside VP Interview, hire, onboard, evaluate, train, terminate, etc all personnel. Qualifications:

Must be 21 years or older Must pass all required background checks Must possess valid government issued Identification Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S. Must be compliant with all regulations for working in the cannabis industry Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years in a Retail supervisory role. Cannabis dispensary management experience preferred but not required. Inventory & Supply Chain control experience required Must be proactive, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong communication and leadership skills Meet timelines consistently and be able to effectively work under pressure Great interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment. Be open to constructive feedback. Ability to use common business software including word, excel/sheets, point of sale, and email/gmail.

The Dispensary Manager maintains highest level of presentation, customer service, and compassion to all patients.</p><p><b>*During the first two weeks of employment, all new dispensary employees will be on a temporary paid training period pending background check and drug test results.*</b></p><p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p>· Ensure that each patient receives outstanding guest service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, providing, solid product knowledge and all other components of exemplary service.</p><p>· Analyze and measure sales trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives in the team and each individual member of the team.</p><p>· Train, supervise and evaluate all departmental employees to assure compliance with departmental SOP's</p><p>· Engage and inspire store teams to achieve maximum performance by modeling behavior that fosters a sense of energy, ownership, teamwork, and personal commitment.</p><p>· Ensure departmental compliance with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program and HIPPA regulations including but not limited to confidentiality, training, patient record keeping, creation, review and submission of reports, preparation of policies and procedures.</p><p>· Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through monthly one on one meetings with team members and audits.</p><p>· Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reviews accompanied by written plans for improvement, as applicable.</p><p>· Conduct and oversee audits.</p><p>· Ensure proper management of pre-packaged inventory and inventory movement between the vault and dispensing stations.</p><p>· Partners with the Human Resources department and recommends salaries, writes appraisals, and takes disciplinary actions when required</p><p>· Ensures a clean and organized dispensary for our patients.</p><p>· Contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment.</p><p>· Oversee and ensure cash management procedures are being followed including, transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, maintaining and reconciling cash with Bio Track.</p><p>· Engage with managers in all departments to ensure smooth running of the dispensary including, delivery, cultivation, and security.</p><p>· Stays informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations, and industry news.</p><p>· Continually evaluate and react to performance issues and actively recruit candidates.</p><p>· Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relations.</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE</b></p><p>· Previous experience with retail sales</p><p>· Excellent customer service skills</p><p>· Leadership ability with at least five years of experience in a retail store setting or at least five years of experience in customer-facing sales in a business solutions environment.</p><p>· Leadership and organizational abilities</p><p>· Proficient computer skills</p><p>· Ability to manage a employees during normal business hours in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>· Strong people and presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills</p><p>· Flexible working hours based on business needs and 10+ hour shifts.</p><p>· Ability to maintain and demonstrate a positive, problem solving attitude at all times.</p><p>· Community outreach experience</p><p><b>SKILLS/INTERESTS</b></p><p>· Ethical Conduct</p><p>· Problem-solving attitude</p><p>· Customer / Client Focus</p><p>· Must be a multitasker, with the ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus</p><p>· Organization and initiative, good communications skills, proactive, problem-solving, time management, discretion and confidentiality are essential attributes</p><p>· Ability to build good relationships. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.</p><p><b>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</b></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 25 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.</p><p><b>POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK</b></p><p>This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
