About the Opportunity:

The Supply Chain Planner monitors inventory and raw material supply flow, identifying any shortages or bottlenecks in our supply chain. You will be working in a fast-paced startup managing due dates based on customer demand and plant capacity - all our manufacturing takes place overseas, not on-site. The ideal candidate passionately identifies and resolves problems related to inventory and production. You will be using various softwares and apps, so a deep understanding of technology is crucial, as you will be assisting in creating and editing workflows within our workflow management tools. You will forecast inventory orders based on data analysis and industry trends, so you will need to know Microsoft Excel well. You will be involved in addressing issues regarding quality and production, so attention to detail is crucial. You will work with the operations team to actively participate and support quality initiatives and efficiency by working towards continuous improvement.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scheduling and material requirement planning.

We are a fast-paced and fast-growing start-up company, so the ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize workloads, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is a must. Knowledge of print production, offshore manufacturing, and safety testing requirements is advantageous. We’d love it if you had knowledge and passion for the cannabis industry, but it’s not required. Your excellent eye for detail, epic organization, and ability to adjust their communication style to work with a wide range of personality types will serve you well.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and monitor inventories, forecast production and sales levels, and track response time and delivery performance.
  • Build and maintain schedules from raw material purchase, to manufacturing, to product delivery.
  • Design the entire flow of information and steps within the custom packaging order process from start to finish
  • plan, develop, and schedule project management tools in support of our stock and custom product operations
  • Work with the sales team to avoid scheduling issues and smooth out demand spikes whenever possible.
  • Handle urgent order requests and assign to specific vendors/suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with domestic and oversees vendors and communicate any changes to stakeholders as they arise, from sales team to operations team.
  • Coordinate and implement planning and scheduling of work based on internal and external schedules.
  • Input customer requirements in company technology tools.
  • Monitor progress of orders and key metrics related to orders/inventory.
  • Arrange for delivery of parts to meet production schedules, as well as prepare monthly forecasts
  • Assist with status reports, such as production progress, customer requirement status, delivery information, and materials inventory.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information, changing production schedule to meet order deadlines and communicating changes to sales team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience using production scheduling or materials planning software.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Deep knowledge of project management and production planning.
  • Strong project management skills; capable of prioritizing and balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of various aspects of manufacturing including print and packaging.
  • Excellent ability to facilitate the exchange of information through multiple channels.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
