Job Opportunity

The Demand Planner at Tantalus Labs supports sales to ensure inventories are allocated and sold to distributors in a smooth and scheduled way. Their role works alongside the sales, finance, and fulfillment teams to forecast the allocation of products nationwide and liaison with distributors of each sales territory. They will gather market and sales intel to guide our cannabis allocation strategy and for the decisions of how to best deploy inventory across markets, channels, categories, and SKU’s.

Duties, Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales data to develop and maintain product forecasts across territories
  • Create and maintain a system for thoughtful product allocation to territory distributors and retailers, and facilitate the allocation process with each
  • Assist regulatory bodies and distributors to maintain the current registry of products and oversee any product phase-outs
  • Oversee the timely registration of new products with regulatory bodies and provincial distributors
  • Research demand drivers, review historical sales trends and produce reports to inform sales and business intelligence
  • Forecast sales and inform the scheduling of production and allocation of product to processing towards a portfolio of SKU’s
  • Use and maintain ERP software to perform and monitor demand planning functions


Qualifications & Competencies

Must Have:

  • Education sufficient to execute the duties and responsibilities of a Demand Planner
  • Elite administration and organization skills
  • 2+ years experience working under a demand planning role, or similar
  • 3+ years experience working with spreadsheeting tools, online sales software, and software used for forecasting, sales, and data analysis
  • Acute written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledgeable or keen interest in the Canadian cannabis industry

Working Conditions
