Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Technician


Pay: $18 - $20 per hour


Schedule:

  • 25 – 35 hours per week
  • Occasional weekend shifts required


Work Location: One location


Be able to complete a variety of plant care independently including, but not limited to:


  • Assist with de-leafing, harvesting, cleaning, transporting plants, and basic handy work when needed
  • Monitor various aspects of plant health including signs of disease or infestation and communicate any issues to the cultivation management team
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to mitigate potential pest problems and facilitate an organized and efficient workflow
  • Keep all equipment clean and sanitized
  • Identify and report irregularities and/or variances from Standard Operating Procedures to management
  • Regularly check and interact on Greenshift’s employee app to best communicate with the team about all information pertinent to specific areas of cultivation
  • Be willing to wear many hats – assist where help is needed
  • Coordinate plant schedules and tasks with management team
  • Wear provided uniform at all times unless directly instructed otherwise
  • Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Carefully follow directions as provided by the Chief of Cultivation


Job Qualifications:


Commercial or Residential Cannabis Experience Prefered.


  • Must be 21+, with a valid State ID, and able to pass additional background screening.
  • High School Diploma or greater required
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of botany, horticulture, and agriculture preferrred
  • Knowledge of production tools and equipment
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong problem solving/communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Maintain a culture of professionalism
  • Must be hard working, responsible, and trustworthy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work on your feet for 8+ hours

Communicate the forecast plans within the Sales &amp; Operations Planning structure.</p><p>• Monitor weekly board level shipments, direct store shipments, store level sell through to adjust future demand forecast and communicate with operations and sales</p><p>• Measure, Improve and Report forecast accuracy. As an emerging company in a rapid growth industry, BZAM’s innovative and accomplished leadership team is the cornerstone of our business and portfolio development.</p><p><b>YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>• Develop and implement demanding planning systems to meet goals or objectives.</p><p>• Present on how the demanding planning process improves turn over and inventory results.</p><p>• Lead forecasting and inventory planning meetings to assess potential sales forecasts and goals.</p><p>• Initiate programs or policies that maximize inventory turns and identify slow moving items in the inventory life cycle.</p><p>• Identify sales trends based on seasons, promotions, and historical sales trends.</p><p>• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions;</p><p>• Lead regular meetings to discuss operations and goals, conducting analysis of current and past periods, planning for current and future periods, and preparing forecasting reports.</p><p>• Create statistical models: gather/analyze and validate data, review sales trends, research demand drivers, execute modeling, challenge results, apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting, summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts;</p><p>• Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool; and</p><p>• Provide input to the Production Planning team to develop manufacturing and inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.</p><p><b>WHAT YOU BRING:</b></p><p>• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Procurement, Supply Chain, International Business Management, Logistics); Master’s Degree preferred;</p><p>• Excellent inventory and project management skills;</p><p>• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking;</p><p>• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills; fluency in English is required;</p><p>• Proficiency in using database applications, MS Office software and project management tools;</p><p>• A deep understanding of Forecasting, Supply Chain, and commercial processes in a CPG company, preferably with cannabis;</p><p>• An expert knowledge of inventory management principals and the impact of Demand Planning within the organization; and</p><p>• APICS, CPIM, or other certification is valued.</p><p><b>YOUR EXPERIENCE:</b></p><p>• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a global growth-oriented CPG environment, ideally Cannabis.</p><p>• 5+ years of progressive experience in at least one of the following areas: Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.</p><p>• Experience with six sigma methodologies, concepts, and tools;</p><p>• Experience using ERP &amp; Demand Planning systems.</p><p><b>WHAT WE OFFER:</b></p><p>• Competitive Compensation</p><p>• Extended Health and Dental Group Benefits and Health Care Spending Account*</p><p>• RRSP Matching Program and TFSA options*</p><p>• Rapid growth and advancement potential</p><p>• Learning and development opportunities</p><p>• Dynamic and innovative environment</p><p>• Exceptional culture</p></div>","company":{"companyType":"Private/Established","name":"BZAM Cannabis","logoUrl":"/logos/bzam-cannabis-b38c86b85c95534fc19e12da77b862d5.jpeg"},"location":{"country":"Canada","address":"Vancouver, BC","city":"Vancouver","stateProvince":"BC"},"frontendLink":"/job-posting/bzam-cannabis/demand-planning-manager/4a621011bc38864a1dd50608d8addf57","title":"Demand Planning Manager","category":"Agriculture & Farming","hash":"4a621011bc38864a1dd50608d8addf57","postingUrl":"https://ca.linkedin.com/jobs/view/demand-planning-manager-at-bzam-cannabis-2976848832","timestamp":1647611423295,"postedOn":"NaN days ago","salary":"$98k - $160k"}]
