Reporting to the Lead Cultivator, the Data Technician will own with data collection process of cultivation efforts for our facilities in Pemberton and Whistler, BC. The responsibilities of the Data Technician will include, but are not limited to: Role & Responsibilities Using a variety of equipment (e.g. anemometers, light sensors) to assess conditions in grow rooms and plant response Collecting soil, water and tissue samples and submitting to external labs Processing raw data for database upload using Microsoft Excel Summarizing raw data for reporting to senior staff Other duties as assigned Qualification Requirements University or College degree in horticulture or related field is an asset Previous successful experience in greenhouse or indoor horticulture operations Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel Experience with Microsoft Access is an asset but not required Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks Highly organized and detail-oriented Experience in greenhouse or indoor horticulture operations University or College degree in horticulture or related field is an asset Self-motivated, creative individual able to work well with others Excellent interpersonal skills A “get it done” attitude with no compromise on quality Aurora is an equal opportunity employer.
