Quales is an independent cannabis testing laboratory. We provide state-of-the-art testing services for licensed medical marijuana producers and distributors. We provide the most accurate results in the industry while helping ensure customer safety and compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing samples consisting of a variety of matrices using traditional laboratory technologies such as HPLC, GC/MS, ICP/MS and LC/MS/MS
  • Analyzing samples consisting of a variety of matrices using plating methods and qPCR
  • Preparing samples for analysis
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
  • Ensure that all data generated meet quality control requirements
  • Researching new technologies and methodologies to improve laboratory processes and techniques
  • Report to the chemistry team leader
  • Work with the laboratory team to meet reporting deadlines
  • Consumables ordering, sample storage and disposal, cleaning and similar lab processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS/BA in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field and at least 1 year of laboratory work experience
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Excellent laboratory troubleshooting skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with HPLC and/or LC/MS/MS instrumentation experience is a strong plus
  • Experience with GC, GC/MS, ICP/MS or a qPCR is a plus
  • Food science experience is a plus
  • Must pass an extensive level 2 background security check with no convictions

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)
