Processing Manager

Our client, a cannabis facility based out of Farnham, QC, is seeking a Processing Manager to manage their hash, BHO, and pre-roll departments. Reporting to the CEO, the Processing Manager will ensure, maintain, and improve all operational activities in the Processing Department.

Responsibilities:

• Implement established corporate objectives, systems, procedures, and policies and develop plans and actions necessary to achieve departmental objectives

• Develop, manage, and monitor a continuous production and manufacturing plan, linking the crop to the supply chain, for dried flower, pre-rolls, and hash/concentrate products

• Ensure proper execution, follow-up, and problem-solving for the developed production and manufacturing plan

• Responsible for in-process inventory for cannabis products, including dried flower, pre-rolls, and hash/concentrate products

• Ensure the budget is adhered to and that the use of materials, labour, and operational expenses are within established limits

• Identify efficiency opportunities in equipment, planning, and personnel and implement improvements effectively

• Monitor and maintain efficiency and performance throughout the transformation process to ensure that deadlines are met and obstacles are identified and removed

• Oversee the development and performance management of all employees in the department and ensure that the duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of all are defined and understood

• Develop and maintain the highest standards of operations to ensure compliance with established company quality standards

• Ensure a culture is maintained that is consistent and aligned with the company's values

• Foster and stimulate high levels of employee engagement across all functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent in experience and education

• Minimum of 3 years in a management function

• Minimum of 3 years in the processing of cannabis (hash)

• Adept at Microsoft Dynamics 365 to monitor and ensure an up-to-date production and manufacturing plan in the company's ERP

• Master the use of Microsoft Power BI to create production and manufacturing plan dashboard reports

• Team player with a passion for cannabis

• Autonomous, responsible, honest, and open-minded

• Strong time-management skills and work ethic

• Ability to prioritize and deal with a variety of issues simultaneously

• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral (English and French)

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

• Knowledge of an ERP system is an asset
