One of the largest indoor Cannabis grows in the U.S. is hiring (2) Cultivation Managers at their 40+ acre greenhouse facility. Each Cultivation Manager will oversee a portion of their facility and up to 200 employees. The facility at one time can harvest upwards to 40k plants on a weekly basis.

An ideal candidate should have 2-5+ years' experience in a similar management capacity in the Cannabis industry and must have overseen cannabis grow facilities at least 100k square feet or larger. Additionally, applicants need to have experience using an automated greenhouse system (Priva, Argus, etc.) and need to be system-driven employees that know how to delegate tasks and run large scale cultivation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create and improve quality standards and procedures for processing operations
  • Oversee daily grow operations for assigned grow section (i.e. mothers, veg, prop, etc.) and responsibly manage up to a team of up to 200
  • Manage the daily output of plants and train and develop hourly staff

Qualifications

  • Experience managing cultivation sites of at least 100k sf
  • Past experience using automated greenhouse systems (i.e. Priva, Argus, etc.)
  • Experience growing with different mediums, vertical grows, and LED lighting
  • 2-5+ years' experience in the Cannabis industry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Expert-level understanding of post-harvest processing in a large-scale agriculture or plant operation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

This role is responsible for the execution of sanitation, harvesting, drying/curing, trimming, and packaging tasks throughout the facility pursuant to relevant Standard Operating Procedures.<br /><br />Roles &amp; Responsibilities<br /><ul><li>Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures related to the tasks, as directed by a Post-Harvest Lead, including but not limited to sanitation, cultivation, and/or processing tasks.</li><li>Following the facility cleaning and sanitation program, including but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, wiping, tool and equipment cleaning, laundry, and other duties as required.</li><li>Post-harvest tasks may include, but are not limited to sanitation, harvesting, drying/curing, trimming, and packaging tasks.</li><li>Maintenance and monitoring of facility systems.</li><li>Responsible for accurately completing appropriate documentation and records as directed by a Post-Harvest Lead.</li><li>Responsible to promptly report any deviations from Standard Operating Procedures to a Post-Harvest Lead.</li><li>Responsible to ensure safe work procedures are being followed and to report hazards and unsafe work to immediate supervisor, or Health &amp; Safety representative.</li><li>Post-harvest breakdown and clean-up.</li><li>Cannabis waste collection and destruction.</li><li>Working with trimming and packaging machinery.</li><li>Responsible for providing your own transportation to and from work.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<br /><br /><b>Formal Education or Equivalent:</b><br /><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li></ul>Competencies, Specialized Skills or Knowledge unique to this role:<br /><ul><li>Basic math skills</li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment (computers, printers, etc.)</li><li>Good communication skills (verbal and written)</li><li>Previous post-harvest experience considered an asset</li><li>Prior experience working in greenhouse or agriculture an asset</li></ul>Performance Metrics<br /><ul><li>Professionalism – Showing consideration and respect towards others in any situation. Being available to lead and step up for projects or process improvement for the organization.</li></ul>Expected Hours of Work<br />The employee is expected to work standard hours of work of 40 hours per week over five consecutive work days. During harvest, the employee will be expected to assist the team to complete the harvest and the hours will be staggered at that time.<br />Although the employee will have standard hours, the company does require you to be available seven (7) days per week including holidays, days, nights and weekends.
