JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking a Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting and Reporting to join our corporate finance team in Chicago, IL. This individual will report to the Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting and be a key contributor in technical accounting research, assisting with relevant new accounting guidance implementation, and purchase accounting for mergers and acquisitions. The Senior Analyst will assist with the company's financial reporting process and will be responsible for several complex technical accounting areas, including financial instruments, derivatives, investments, CECL, and purchase accounting / integration. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized with great attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Subject matter expert and/or preparer of complex accounting areas, including financial instruments, derivatives, investments, CECL, and purchase accounting / integration for acquisitions (including equity, deferred and contingent consideration)
  • Prepare and issue accounting policies, training and process documentation
  • Assist with purchase accounting for mergers and acquisitions under ASC 805, and consolidation determinations under ASC 810
  • Assess the impact of new accounting guidance and assist in the adoption of new accounting standards under U.S. GAAP
  • Assist with technical accounting research for unusual transactions and new contracts
  • Assist with the company's financial reporting process – prepare schedules that support the preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Participate in special projects/oversight of additional technical accounting areas as assigned
  • Support the year-end and quarterly audit process

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business with accounting concentration
  • 3+ years accounting experience (public accounting or technical accounting preferred)
  • CPA required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow through on assigned tasks
  • Experience with financial accounting systems preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a start-up, fast-paced, and collaborative environment
  • Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner

As our Lead Logistics Agent, you will be responsible for planning routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries, providing exceptional customer service at the dispensaries, and following state laws and regulations governing the delivery of cannabis. The Lead Logistics Agent will also be responsible for overseeing the driving team to ensure compliance in all aspects of business.</p><p><b>CORE JOB DUTIES</b></p><ul><li>Daily logistics and routes</li><li>Packaging manager will assign what deliveries are going on certain days and input them on the team up calendar</li><li>Determine best routes for the next day's delivery and assign what delivery team will be delivering to that day's dispensaries</li><li>Provide delivery times on team up calendar</li><li>Logistics lead is too keep the \"Hoops Google Sheet \" up to date</li><li>The hoops sheet should include the following: hours of operation, dispensary request/preferences, preferred delivery times, and any information relevant to that location</li><li>All delivery drivers need to be trained and made aware the \"Hoops Sheet\". and Cresco quality standards.</p><p>• Responsible for the overall health and safety of employees by ensuring proper training is provided for all employees; respective metrics are implemented to measure effectiveness of policies and identify areas of improvement.</p><p>• Partner closely with Facility Directors, GMs, and HR / TA to ensure adequate staffing levels for all departments of oversight to meet production goals.</p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS</p><p>• Bachelor's degree in a related field required such as food science or chemical engineering, Master's degree preferred.</p><p>• Minimum 15 years of progressive responsibility and successful experience in a high-growth Food &amp; Beverage CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), NHP (Natural Health Products), or Pharmaceuticals.</p><p>• 10+ years’ experience managing a large team with advanced technical, science, and engineering backgrounds across multiple sites, with the focus on product commercialization Manage a team of chefs to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, and operating basic production machinery.
