This position will serve as a deputy under the Assistant General Counsel for Retail Brokerage. The role will interact regularly with senior WIM and CRG business team leaders and with CRG Control Partners in compliance, risk, and with other senior leaders that interface with WIM (e.g., LREI). More specifically, this role will also:

  • Act as senior legal advisor to FiNet, CRG – with a specific focus on CRG / PWM integration (WIM Vision) and potentially also RIA (Clearing);
  • Attend meetings and provide advice in connection with delegated responsibilities from the Assistant General Counsel in certain functions including Regulatory Change Management, Credit Committee, Remediations, and others;
  • Partner with the Assistant General Counsel in continuing evaluation of her legal team, work distribution and Structure, including solutioning when it comes to large projects like ENGin, BIA and RCSA;
  • Assist in drawing alignment with WIM COEs (Advice and Planning, BL&T, Investment Solutions, Ops)
  • Provide leadership of specific projects including:
    • Work with HR Legal on Programmatic Relief and related workstreams
    • Continue evaluation and work on International Exit
    • Serve as liaison among cap markets counsel, legal and compliance on such issues including cannabis, crypto and SPACs with the client-facing lens, analysis of Deal Committee role
    • Other similar projects

Required Qualifications


  • 10+ years of experience as a practicing attorney; or 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney and 2+ years of legal-related experience in one or a combination of the following areas: risk, compliance, contracts, government, regulatory, financial services, or technology. Active State Bar membership
  • Active State Bar membership


Desired Qualifications


  • Ability to analyze legal and regulatory issues in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on complex legal matters
  • Extensive experience conducting research and providing counsel and guidance regarding complex legal issues
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling multiple matters

This position includes paralegal work for all aspects of litigation, from intaking a new client through trial and appeals.
