The Role The Asset Protection Specialist is the gatekeeper for our retail stores. We are looking for someone levelheaded and confident who is just as passionate as we are, about keeping all our patients, customers, and workers safe. In this role, you will be responsible for the security of all our assets and property in the dispensary as well as the regulation of access to our premises. Responsibilities• Protect individuals, property, and proprietary information from harm or misappropriation

• Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, trespassing, fire, and accidents

• Observe and report any unlawful activity

• Control access to premises

• Investigate and take the appropriate lawful actions on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activity, safety, and fire

• Neutralize situations calmly with tact and common sense

• Watch for safety and fire hazards and other related situations

• Enforce policies and procedures of the company

• Aid customers, employees, visitors, or the public as necessary

• Perform requests by the customers within scope of security duties or within reason

• Train new security hires, and inform other staff of security procedures and policies

Qualifications• Military, law-enforcement, or security background strongly preferred

• Criminal Justice Degree, or relevant experience

• Training in firefighting, first aid or lifesaving drills

Additional Requirements• Must be 21 years or older

• Must pass all required background checks including state specific cannabis employment requirements

• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.

• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

• Requires open availability and ability to work full-time

Working Conditions• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions

• Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when the business requires such as performing retail operations outside via curbside service, removing trash or other outdoor tasks.

Physical Demands• Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)

• Role includes standing or walking for prolonged periods of time, as well as stooping, sitting, bending over and/or crouching; ascending and descending ladder

The first is a study of individuals with Opioid Use Disorder and</p><p>Chronic Pain, and the second study evaluates quality of life in individuals initiating</p><p>medical marijuana therapy for any of the qualifying conditions in Pennsylvania.</p><p>This position will begin on July 1, 2022.</p><p>This</p><p>position splits time between PCOM's satellite office in Center City,</p><p>Philadelphia and PCOM's main campus on City Avenue, Philadelphia.</p><p>The</p><p>Coordinator will also work closely with staff from collaborating institutions</p><p>to synchronize study activities and recruitment efforts. Funding</p><p>of this position is contingent upon the continued funding of the</p><p>grant/contract.</p><p>Duties/essential</p><p><b>functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:</b></p><p>• Assists the Principal Investigator(s) to manage all subcontracts, compliance, adverse event reporting, and data quality procedures.</p><p>• Assists in the development of a Manual of Operations.</p><p>• Coordinates all study-related meetings, takes meeting notes, and develops agendas.</p><p>• Manages research assistants (4-6) located at study sites (PCOM and marijuana dispensaries) and oversees their participant recruitment and follow-up.</p><p>• Processes study participant payments submitted by research assistants.</p><p>• Assists in managing administrative activities including training and supervision of personnel, grant and budget preparation, and data management.</p><p>• Assists in preparing budgets and monitors expenditures and financial reports.</p><p>• Develops and manages study databases (data collection, coding, analysis and storage).</p><p>• Assists in developing and submitting grant proposals.</p><p>• Monitors expenditures and advises Investigators of changes in reporting or accounting requirements.</p><p>• Serves as a project liaison to other PCOM departments, outside organizations, government agencies and vendors.</p><p>• Oversees the preparation of reports for management, funders and regulatory agencies.</p><p>• Oversees and submits IRB applications, and ensures the project is administered according to research protocol.</p><p>• Assists in obtaining study instruments.</p><p>• Assists with the preparation of conference posters, professional presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.</p><p>• Performs other responsibilities as required.</p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><p>A Master's degree in psychology, social</p><p>work, public health or a related field and two years of related professional</p><p>experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.</p><p>Note: An</p><p>approved CAS Exception is required for anyone who is charged to a federal grant</p><p>or contract under this job code.</p><p>Knowledge</p><p>Of: Research Protocols</p><p>Working</p><p><b>Conditions / Physical Requirements:</b></p><p>Mild</p><p>physical work: Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building</p><p>and occasionally off campus to study sites.</p><p>PCOM is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration. The agency is comprised of three major operational programs; the Distilled Spirits Program, the Marijuana Program, and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration, Financial Services, and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs. The OLCC’s Public Safety Program licenses and regulates businesses in the alcohol and marijuana industry such as manufacturers, bars, restaurants, retail outlets, grocery and convenience stores. What will you do? Minor Decoys work with Regulatory Specialists to ensure licensees lawfully sell and serve alcohol and marijuana products by confirming the licensees are not selling to minors. This position achieves this purpose by attempting to purchase alcohol and marijuana products at alcohol and recreational marijuana retail locations. Here are some of the essential duties you will perform: Accompanies Regulatory Specialists into licensed premises. May also participate in joint missions by accompanying personnel from law enforcement agencies or special interest groups in accordance with agency policy. Enters businesses to attempt to purchase alcohol or recreational marijuana using valid legal driver’s license, identification card or other valid identification to determine whether or not a retail OLCC licensee is selling alcohol or retail marijuana products to patrons under the age of 21. Selects or verbally requests regulated products. Attempts to purchase products using cash obtained from a Regulatory Specialist prior to the compliance check. Provides valid identification to clerk if asked. States correct age or date of birth if asked, and may not lie or otherwise verbally misrepresent age. Requests the return of identification if the clerk attempts to confiscate it. Communicates verbally and documents in writing minor decoy visits and findings in a narrative report. Attaches receipts and other related documentation. Prepares and presents documents needed for contested case hearings. Testifies on behalf of the Commission at administrative law hearings and/or in criminal court. What do you need to qualify?
