Apply Now Copy link

Are you a creative thinker who has a way with words? We want to talk to you! Here at AAXLL Brands you will be responsible for developing original copy for a wide range of print and digital assets to support corporate and marketing programs in the cannabis and CBD sector.
*
Until now our brands have been solely focused on growing in the US marketplace, now we’re ready to stamp our authority in Canada. You’ll be leading the content strategy for a Health Canada licensed e-commerce Cannabis brand for the Canadian marketplace.

We’re hiring for multiple positions - everything from a junior cannabis writer, to experienced content manager, writer or specialist!

We offer a competitive salary - your salary will be dependent on your level - that’s why we have a wide range. There’s excellent opportunities for growth and regular salary reviews, the first being in three months.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of AAXLL’s brands, products, audiences, and regulatory environment to craft accurate, engaging, compliant, and on-brand copy for a wide range print and digital marketing assets and corporate programs.
  • Independently create, manage and maintain varied content types. These include marketing collateral, newsletters, email campaigns, press releases, case studies, thought leadership articles, print ads, website content, social media posts, promotional video scripts, employee communication, etc.
  • Apply a high level of creativity and strategic initiative to develop copy for omni-channel campaigns.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop creative concepts and seamlessly complete deliverables.
  • Bring the brand voice to life across all channels and serve as an ambassador to protect brand expression and integrity for our growing portfolio.
  • Adapt writing style according to the topic and channel, tailoring messaging and delivery for the audience and medium.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to conduct thorough research for all copywriting assignments.
  • Communicating with external publishers, magazines and stakeholders to develop content on third party brands.

About You

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a marketing copywriter. Cannabis industry experience, or knowledge of cannabis strains is an asset.
  • Don’t let the 2+ years of experience count you out. If you’re fresh out of school and a great content writer - we still want to talk to you!
  • Exceptional creative writing skills in English.
  • Impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
  • Experience in copy development for traditional and digital media, as well as familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Experience writing log form content, such as blog posts and articles, is a must.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized and level-headed in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high performing self-starter who actively seeks to improve processes and develop new skills.
  • Willing to learn how to post blogs on our website.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices is an asset, but our team will train you in using industry leading tools for content & SEO research.
  • Additional: Do you have PR experience? Let us know if you’ve worked at a PR agency or have contacts in the media industry.

With your application, please send us a sample blog post, or article or your portfolio that you're proud of!
