Reporting to the Team Lead, Business Analysis; the Business Analyst (BA) is the conduit between Information Technology (IT) and the business who is responsible for the analysis of complex business requirements and translates conceptual user needs into functional requirements to execute strategic initiatives.


As the BA, you will work closely with Project and Business Managers, and other key stakeholders to plan the day-to-day management of the analysis, design, development, and testing of software’s to produce deliverables within a project, process re-engineering initiatives, and enhancements.


You will partner with the business to identify business requirements for small to medium size projects, as well as, research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements. You will make recommendations and document solutions and allocate requirements to achieve the desired future state; as well as develop test plans and assists with UAT processes. You will be responsible to manage and communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications throughout various phases of the project life cycle to key stakeholders within IT and the business area.


This role is a telecommuting role (work from home), and you will be expected to provide seamless service in both a face to face and online environment. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving, have experience facilitating workshops with various stakeholder groups, analyzing information, and identifying risks. You will require a high level of communication skills, both written and verbally and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. A strong awareness of IT policies, procedures, and methodologies are a must to achieve business and organizational objectives.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Degree in a computer science or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of Business Analyst experience with a focus on I.T related projects; preference will be given to those who have lead projects and process re-engineering initiatives
  • Experience facilitating workshops
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Point, Visio) and Requirement Management Tracking tool (ie: TFS, Jira)


The
following would be considered an asset:

  • Business Analysis certification from a recognized institution
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have direct experience working on an ERP implementation and have a comprehensive understanding of enterprise business applications and software standings.

This individual will also assist with other aspects of the ABCD parent study data collection, which includes eighteen neurocognitive assessments and seventy interview or self-report instruments designed to assess eligibility criteria, psychopathology, medical health, parental/peer/romantic relationships, impulsivity/temperament/personality, and nicotine/alcohol/drug use as well as MRI scans and provision of biological samples. In addition to these responsibilities, the ABCD RECOVER study Coordinator will review data to assure quality, will provide the study PIs with regular reports, and will transfer data to the ABCD Informatics Center.
