Product Label and Compliance Manager

The Product Label & Compliance Control Manager is responsible for providing hands on management of all functions associated with the operations of product label control including ordering, receiving, printing, application, quality control, optimization, and providing input into supply planning activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with CPG labels and cannabis production operations, have the ability to multitask in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision, is able to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to meet changing needs and demands and work as part of a cross-functional team servicing the needs of the commercial team through various lines of business.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the day-to-day operations of product label productions including ordering, receiving, printing, application, quality control and storage.

· Responsible for all labelling across all lines including management of all printing devices and label supplies.

· Provide solutions to optimize implementation of product label operations; identify root causes when issues occur with equipment or process and develop, recommend, communicate, and implement corrective actions and lessons learned.

· Organize and clean label control area after each run to ensure accuracy of labels used.

· Safely dispose off excessive labels not needed for operations.

· Manage and track product label inventory, ensuring daily counts are accurate and recorded.

· Ensure all applicable regulatory requirements are met within the procedures and practices of the Label Control department.

· Analyzes production schedule to plan and coordinate work order flow through label department and responsible to maintain inventory of labels and printing supplies.

· Effectively plan for upcoming demands and communicate with other internal and external groups as needed.

· Track printer maintenance and performance and troubleshoot for any issues identified in the equipment.

Perform any other duties or tasks on an as-needed basis as requested by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

· 2+ years experience working in CPG environment with specific experience in label operations.

· College or University education in supply chain management or related field of study.

· Strong proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office products.

· Demonstrated effectiveness performing tasks requiring a strong attention to detail.

· Experience managing, monitoring, and maintaining Zebra thermal-transfer and direct-thermal printers such at the ZT411 and ZD421.

· Experience managing, monitoring, and maintaining Epson C6XXX series colour label printers, including managing an external unwinder/rewinder system.

· Exposure to NiceLabel Cloud label management software. Experience with NiceLabel designer also desirable.

· Experience with laser coding and direct-to-pouch TTO (Thermal Transfer Overprint) technologies is considered an asset.

· Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset.

· Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

· Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check (RPIC status not required but an asset).

The Retail Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring all company dispensaries remain compliant under state laws and will work closely with the Department of Professional Regulation, in addition to Local and State law enforcement agencies. The Retail Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring all company dispensaries remain compliant under state laws and will work closely with the Department of Professional Regulation, in addition to Local and State law enforcement agencies. A successful candidate has the ability apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments and has previous experience monitoring, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies.</p><p><b>CORE JOB DUTIES</b></p><p><b>Compliance:</b></p><p>• Prepare and conduct inspections with the Board of Pharmacy and local officials when necessary</p><p>• Ensure accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, patient/customer records, sales, deliveries and returns are being done in accordance with the State regulations as well as standards set by Company</p><p>• Monitor METRC and BioTrack for product returns; communicate any issues to appropriate department and work with the dispensary teams to provide BioTrack and/or METRC information to assist dispensaries when issues arise</p><p>• Inspect stores to ensure compliance</p><p>• Prepare compliance status report for Regional Compliance Director</p><p><b>Inventory:</b></p><p>• Prepare weekly inventory inspection reports for all facilitiesMonitor inventory losses and assist in developing processes and procedures to reduce loss in all departments</p><p>• Ensure full inventory is completed at all facilities; investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies</p><p>• Review all inventory reports and files</p><p>• Participate in weekly manager meetings</p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS</p><p>• Minimum of 3 years of compliance experience, ideally in the regulated cannabis industry or another regulated industry, such as alcohol, tobacco, medical, or manufacturing, preferred</p><p>• Must have the ability to develop and foster strong working relationships throughout all levels of the organization</p><p>• Demonstrated problem-solving skills; the ability to either predict and / or identify and drive problem/issue to resolution in partnership with stakeholders</p><p>• Excellent people and communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to successfully explain complex matters and provide persuasive support for positions with internal stakeholders, outside partners, and to communicate with all levels of the organization</p><p>• Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with tight deadlines</p><p>• Detail-oriented and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities</p><p>• Capable of handling confidential information discreetly and professionally</p><p>• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint</p><p>• Working knowledge or ability to develop working knowledge of all state and local regulations</p><p>• Ability to travel within the state, as required</p><p>• Must have reliable transportation</p><p><b>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p>• Must be 21 years of age or older to apply</p><p>• Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry</p><p>Cresco Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all applicants will be considered without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status</p></div>","company":{"website":"crescolabs.com","companyType":"Public/Established","name":"Cresco Labs","logoUrl":"/logos/cresco-labs-af2becc596b572034007bd7a7d918bdd.png"},"location":{"country":"United States","address":"Ohio City, OH, USA","city":"Ohio City","stateProvince":"OH"},"frontendLink":"/job-posting/cresco-labs/compliance-manager/e5c31d1bea3ec76deb98c137505ff30a","title":"Compliance Manager","category":"Manufacturing","hash":"e5c31d1bea3ec76deb98c137505ff30a","postingUrl":"https://lensa.com/compliance-manager-jobs/ohio-city/jd/f93e8522eb2485bdce05f3ebd6dc68ed","timestamp":1649513627775,"postedOn":"NaN days ago","salary":"$87k - $150k"}]
