Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Clinical Services is responsible for developing, managing and directing the operations, programs and activities of clinical programs across multiple locations; Oversees implementation of new programs and services, serves as a liaison with external agencies, oversees education and training of clinical staff, and serves as a member of the Corporate Compliance Committee.
Essential Functions

The Director of Clinical Services has responsibility including but not limited to:

· Clinic Administration: In collaboration with Clinic Supervisors, responsible for directing, planning, organizing and supervising the clinical operations across multiple sites; Provides consistent supervision and support to Clinic Supervisors to ensure goals are met consistently and timely for all program requirements; Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of concepts, principles and processes across clinics. Develop, review and update policies, procedures, process improvement, training, and evaluation that help support efficient clinic workflows.

· Supervision and Training: Works with Clinic Supervisors to provide educational oversight and training competency on functions related to care planning, clinic documentation, and quality performance improvement standards; Ensure communication of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures both up and down the chain of command.

· Planning and Coordination: Participate on the agency’s management team; Work closely with the advocacy, residential and legal teams to coordinate services to clients; Maintain a working relationship with outside agencies; Coordinate meetings with other mental health provider programs.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

A graduate degree in social work, psychology or allied science with a current and valid license in the state of Connecticut as an LCSW or LPC. The applicant should have at least six years of full-time paid experience in the behavioral health treatment field, preferably in the area of substance abuse, and at least five years of administrative experience.

Must work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.</p><p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p><i>Policies and Procedures: </i></p><p>· Learn and apply the quality management system which is in accord with ISO/IEC 17025 and state regulatory requirements.</p><p>· Must demonstrate competence prior to independently performing any job duty.</p><p>· Maintain a safe environment in which employees are protected from physical, chemical and biological hazards.</p><p>· Must demonstrate competence for all Laboratory Analyst I, II, III within 60 days of start date.</p><p><i>Sample Handling &amp; Analysis: </i></p><p>· Sample Intake &amp; Accession</p><p>· Sample Homogenization by mechanical or manual pulverization</p><p>· Sample Weighing</p><p>· Sample Batching</p><p>· Foreign Material Testing</p><p>· Water Activity</p><p>· Moisture</p><p>· Field Sampling</p><p>· All sample preparation methods</p><p><i>Allocation of Staff Resources &amp; Workflow: </i></p><p>· Ensure adequately trained and authorized staff are available to cover customer tests</p><p>· Work with Team Leaders to ensure adequate staffing/coverage</p><p>· Ensure workflow moves without interruption</p><p>· Prioritize customer sample processing as needed</p><p>· Interface with our client's Sales Team regarding customer samples and/or test results</p><p>· Monitor the sample triage area</p><p>· Maintain open communication with all personnel and facilitate problem-solving</p><p><i>Quality Assurance</i></p><p>· Ensure all technical records are maintained as per procedures</p><p>· Investigate customer complaints, as directed</p><p>· Assist with technical and management system internal audits</p><p>· Contribute to Management Review preparations</p><p>· Ensure all environmental conditions are met each day</p><p>· Participate in customer service activities, such as questions, concerns, complaints.</p><p>· Ensure no instruments/equipment are used unless current calibrations are in place.</p><p>· With the Quality Assurance Manager:</p><p>o Maintain the Staff Competency/Staff Training Logs; ensure all records are current and available</p><p>o Maintain the Laboratory Equipment List</p><p>o Maintain current vendor approvals</p><ul><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><i>Management/Supervisory: </i></p><p>· Supervise and establish annual performance evaluations for Analysts I, II, III</p><p>· Order supplies, as directed</p><p>· Performs other duties as assigned</p><p><b>WORK ENVIRONMENT </b></p><p>The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
