Temporary Cannabis Farm Hand Job Description:

Summary: Central Coast Horticultural is a licensed cannabis grow facility in Hanover, MI that is focused on providing quality products to processors, patients, and customers around the state. As aTemporary Cannabis Farm Hand you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the plants and farm. Tasks may include pruning the plants, helping with transplanting, assisting with harvest, or any other assigned task. The Temporary Cannabis Farm Hand reports to the Lead Cannabis Farm Hand. This is a temporary position lasting from approximately May 9th to October 31st.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work requires periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and sitting. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate trimmers, shears, instruments of measure, storage containers, etc. Lifting of 25-50lbs is common with heavier objects done with a team member.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in busy adult use cannabis grow fields and storage facilities. The work area can be loud due to the diesel engines that run the storage facility. Will be in almost constant contact with plants. Work is performed under any working condition that is not dangerous to worker safety. This includes periods of heat, wind, and other strong weather. Doing one task, such as defoliating for 8-10 hours in a day is likely. Applicants should be prepared to work diligently to meet production goals.
