The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational, communication skills and administration experience with implementing, training, and supporting our Operations departments with Quality Management related documents. The Technical Writer/Process Documentation Specialist will report to the Manager, Technical Writer/Process Documentation and support various departments as we propel our growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to multitask and implement changes as business needs arise as well as have exceptional communication skills, possess excellent administrative and computer skills (especially in Microsoft programs) and have the ability to work collaboratively with our client groups to support and coordinate our efforts in Quality Management functions.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with operations staff to ensure the product is manufactured according to our high-quality standards.

• Review and provide coaching/training to operations team to complete non conformance reports and CAPA’s in a timely manner.

• Have an understanding and ability to process documentation accurately within the Quality Management System.

• Collaborating with operation team on SOP/WI revisions and approvals.

• Support operations staff with training and ensure qualifications are up to date in accordance with SOP requirements.

• Participate in internal and external quality audits in conjunction with the Quality and Regulatory Departments as required.

• Support and participate in project teams for new equipment and infrastructure working with other departments.

• Collaborating with all departments to help investigate and proactively troubleshoot issues.

• Promote a healthy and safe work environment.

• Must be able to work a variable of different shifts and potentially weekends if required.

• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Bilingual preferred

• Experience working in a production facility with GMP standards.

• Experience in food/bottling industry, manufacturing environment.

• Familiar with ISO-9001 regulated environment and practice.

• Knowledge of HACCP.

• Exposure and familiarity with basics of current Quality System Regulation (CSR) Documentation and records management experience required.

• Experience in writing SOPs, Deviations, Investigations, Non-conformances, and Change Controls.

• Effective communicator, ability to multitask, analytical and has strong attention to detail.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent Computer skills.

• Problem solving skills; willingness and flexibility to foresee and overcome obstacles.

• Self-starter with a passion for detail and accuracy.

• Experience working in an environment regulated by Health Canada also considered an asset.

• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

• Work well under pressure.

• Thrives in a changing environment.

• Able to lead and facilitate meetings.

• Must be willing to travel.
