Role Summary

The Packaging Coordinator/Manager works cross functionally across the organization to fulfill project deliverables within designated time frames. This role plays an important part in coordinating all aspects around compliant cannabis packaging for a product launches and or product rebrands/changes. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented team player with solid communication skills and problem-solving acumen.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Collaborate with Marketing and Product Team to source packaging for new product development and optimization initiatives

• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Creative teams via weekly/periodical new packaging aesthetic/branding review meetings and elevate risks where needed

• Review and comprehend packaging specifications from Product and Manufacturing Team in order to perform fit/form/function testing across new products

• Leverage new and current suppliers to source new materials with a focus on meeting COGS, margin targets, quality, on-time delivery, and towards company sustainability objectives

• Manages every portion of the approval process between internal and external partners, ensures alignment at every step of the design and handover process to Supply Chain

• Oversee and report packaging timeline updates across assigned projects between relevant departments

• Communicate cross-functionally with design, marketing, product, manufacturing, and supply chain to define needs and refine strategy

• Collaborate and negotiate directly with key packaging vendors and contract manufacturers

• Establish bills of materials in collaboration with Sourcing team

• Oversee external vendors and hold them accountable for agreed upon timelines, deliverables and budget

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift, push, pull up to 10lbs

• Able to work on a computer for eight (8) hours daily

• Clear vision, speech and hearing

• Clear verbal/written communication and presentation skills
