Position Overview

The Key Account Manager is responsible for educating cannabis clinics and health care professionals about the VIVO (Canna Farms & ABcann) brands and its Canadian grown, pharmaceutical-grade medicinal cannabis products within Western Canada to drive patient referrals and meet territory sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for sales within assigned territory and meeting and/or surpassing sales

• goals for the month/quarter/year.

• Build strong working relationships with clinic partners, acting as key liaison with cannabis clinic owners, patient educators and health care practitioners. Promote VIVO’s products and services, and provide medical education on VIVO’s unique points of difference. Partner with clinics on initiatives to increase VIVO’s share of LP referrals within each clinic.

• Expand referrals from independent physicians, nurse practitioners and clinics not currently in our network.

• Optimize and customize company provided promotional tools and strategies, executing against the Commercial Plan.

• Track and analyze data to further enhance sales opportunities and plans within the territory focused on patient acquisition and retention.

• Understand the competitive landscape and provide ongoing market insights, clinic and patient feedback to the team.

• Execute all sales field activities with the highest degree of professionalism using an evidence-based approach.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicates proactively with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, IT, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Product Development to facilitate product commercialization of both new and existing products.

• Complete administrative duties and sales training as required.

• Become an expert in the medical cannabis industry, including restrictions and regulations, as well as VIVO product line and new product pipeline.

• Cannabis Regulations and Compliance: Become familiar on Cannabis Regulations in Canada and how products are produced, distributed and sold in Canada, additionally ensure a clear understanding of the regulatory environment and framework and work closely with the Quality Assurance and Regulatory departments to ensure full compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

Academic/Educational Requirements

• Bachelor degree, preferably in a science or business-related field.

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge

• The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/health care, sales or cannabis outreach; sales experience in beverage alcohol, tobacco, CPG or other related industries will also be considered.

• Outstanding relationship building skills.

• Existing relationships with physicians preferred.

• Experience executing a sales and marketing plan.

• Experience managing a territory-based sales budget.

• Able to thrive and succeed in a fast paced and rapidly expanding sales environment.

• Able to travel up to 25% (Valid Driver’s License required)
