The Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Drives business results by maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses and improving metrics through sales floor leadership
  • Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of the provisioning center and team
  • Lead by Example and Motivate, Inspire and Be a Coach
  • Address issues that arise from employees or customers
  • Work with Executive Team to create budgets and forecast sales
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
  • Oversee and manage product inventory
  • Ensure the provisioning center remains compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations
  • Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
  • Create and reinforce a proactive selling culture that focuses on building a confident and competent team, in order to build a loyal customer following through clear and positive communication
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Manage financial records and cash handling procedures
  • Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both the patients and employees
  • Provide education for staff about medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and consumption mechanisms
  • Oversee employee scheduling
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
  • Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Utilize, lead and deliver visual brand standards to present unique product mix offering

The Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a retail environment
  • 3+ years management experience, preferably in retail
  • 2+ years of cannabis related experience preferred
  • College degree preferred; High School diploma required
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Proven successful experience as a retail leader
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Accountability for self and others
  • Balanced and intuitive decision making

Create and/or approve schedules which drive sales opportunities and maximizes customer experience, ensures staffing is prioritized to provide optimal schedules and ensure the best customer service is provided.</p><p>• Reviews and approves timekeeping records for the staff, ensuring accurate hours are submitted. Ensures record keeping standards.</p><p>• Oversees effective merchandising updates and management of in-store inventory levels.</p><p>• Oversees the planning and execution of all Visual displays. Customize the visual direction to fit the store dimensions, communicate timelines and execute the floor set with precision and on time.</p><p>• Ensure consistent standards of cleanliness, maintenance and organization are upheld.</p><p>• Maintain and enforce a culture of compliance for all activities with strict adherence to the Florida Statues for a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center, as well as regulations set forth by local, state, and federal agencies such as OSHA.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of all Surterra Wellness activities including customer records, customer feedback, sales, and returns in accordance with the State of Florida regulations and standards set by the company.</p><p><b>Education</b></p><p>• Closely monitor, educate, and coach all new team members during their first two weeks.</p><p>• Provide coaching and education to all team members on product and cannabis knowledge.</p><p>• In partnership with the Lead Guides, provide training to ensure all store processes align with SOP�s and safe practices.</p><p>• Evaluate and review strengths and opportunities for new and existing team members.
