As a key player of our growing team, you will help contribute to our company’s vision: to lead the charge in removing the negative stigma in cannabis.</p><p>If you are up for an exciting challenge and enjoy forming, leading and motivating a retail team, then this is the job for you!</p><p><b>Your Mission:</b></p><p>• Create and develop a strong culture that motivates team members to deliver extraordinary customer service and education to our customers.</p><p>• Hire, train, and develop staff in accordance with operating policies, procedures and best practices.</p><p>• Coach team members and provide constructive feedback to foster their development in line with their career aspirations.</p><p>• Create and execute initiatives to increase customer acquisition, loyalty and community support with the assistance of the executive team.</p><p>• Create work schedules and optimize staffing to ensure KPIs are met.</p><p>• Work closely with the corporate team and other store managers to share and coordinate multi-store marketing strategies, promotions, community service campaigns, educational programs and team member training.</p><p>• Working closely with the corporate team to review sales reports and identify sale trends, inventory strategies/reorders and operation strategies.</p><p>• Managing the alarm system, including setting and disarming the alarm; protect and maintain company assets and resources to include cash control, inventory, keys, security codes and physical facility to prevent theft, ensuring Loss Prevention standards.</p><p>• Maintain the confidentiality and security of sales records and operational reports.</p><p>• Participate in company and brand initiatives, including paid community service programs, product reviews and other unique programs.</p><p>• Assist in creating and implementing store initiatives and team member education and training of new products and accessories.</p><p>• Ensure POS transaction and end-of-day cash reconciliation are accurate and follow-up on any discrepancies.</p><p>• Handling of cannabis delivery and cash in a manner that follows corporate, provincial and federal policies.</p><p>• Enforce store policies, brand guidelines/campaigns, procedures and operational guidelines.</p><p>• Act as the liaison (along with the executive team) with regulating bodies and key stakeholders such as the AGCO and OCS.</p><p>• And all other duties as assigned by the executive team.</p><p><b>About You</b></p><p>• Strong familiarity with cannabis and the cannabis industry, particularly the laws and regulations regarding marketing advertising is preferred.</p><p>• Demonstrated history of being a brand ambassador and positively leading a team.</p><p>• Strong inventory management experience</p><p>• You want to step up to the challenge of building a new retail brand in the fast-growing cannabis industry.</p><p>• Superb written and verbal communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.</p><p>• Desire to understand various aspects of cannabis and to provide positive, educational and safe use information to customers and team members.</p><p>• Comfortable at reviewing reports and analysis and finding ways to improve/optimize to achieve individual and store-level KPIs and targets.</p><p>Job Requirements</p><p>• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.</p><p>• 5+ years of experience in retail required.</p><p>• 3+ years of management/supervisory role required.</p><p>• Experience in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Sheet, Google Docs, Slack, Zoom, and Monday.com</p><p>• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (within Ontario)</p><p>• Availability to work on weekends, some holidays and evenings.</p><p>• CannSell and Retail Store Manager Licensed is an asset.</p><p>• The successful candidate will be subject to a background prior to joining, at the expense of The House of Cannabis.</p><p>Why Join Us?</p><p>• Join a young, hungry team set to embark on a journey to deliver high-quality, legally sourced cannabis products to customers across Canada.</p><p>• The ability to help build, scale, and lead a new team and grow the brand to become an influential member of the community and cannabis community.</p><p>• Learn everything about cannabis - one of the most exciting and fast-moving industries.</p><p>We truly thank all applicants for their interest in joining The House of Cannabis Team, but only</p><p>those candidates considered for an initial interview will be contacted.
