Assistant Controller

Full Job Description

Ladybug Farms is the largest licensed greenhouse cannabis flower producer in California. We call upon Four generations of experience growing flowers since 1947 and have deep coastal roots beginning in South San Francisco. Our business has evolved over the decades and we’re now extremely happy and thankful to be able to transfer our experience into growing premium cannabis flower for some of the pioneering cannabis brands of the industry.

We’re a little different from the majority of cannabis companies out there, we’re solely family owned and operated with a very personal management team.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

  • Assisting the Controller with invoicing procedures, financial reporting, preparing budgets, and monitoring department spend.
  • Research customer billing inquiries.
  • Filing and management of bookkeeping documents and keeping detailed records.
  • Respond to customer needs, requests, and complaints.
  • Managing and administering in payroll processes.
  • Administering and assisting the Controller in company finances.
  • Filing and scanning receipts invoices.
  • Working with the office manager and controller to ensure an organized accounting system.
  • Maintain office supplies, ordering banking and printed supplies as needed.
  • Assist Director of Operations with ongoing projects, responding to emails, and calendar management.

Qualified Candidates for this position possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Minimum two years accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
  • Minimum two years office experience required.
  • Spanish speaking would be preferred but by no means necessary.
  • Professional, friendly, high customer service standards.
  • Self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, QuickBooks and google sheets systems.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including some weekends.
  • Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance, ability to pass background check.
