Founded in 2018 in Sylmar, California, the company is fully licensed to manufacture and distribute Cannabis products.

Role Description

As a member of the R&D and Quality control team, you will assist with the development of methods for detection, identification, and quantification of cannabinoids, help establish quality control protocols for Cannabis infused products, provide hands-on technical assistance to maintain analytical equipment, and analyze samples to support various projects. Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop creative solutions to challenging problems, are essential.

Responsibilities Include

· Routine analysis of cannabinoids solution in different matrices.

· Routine analysis and evaluation of raw materials and products at all stages of the development process under stringent quality and time requirements.

· Preparation of chemical solutions.

· Routine maintenance of analytical equipment; troubleshoot and perform minor repairs as needed.

· Upkeep of glassware, lab area, and equipment. Organization and storage of chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.

· Assistance in the preparation of research reports and Standard Operating Procedures for internal and external use.

· Anticipation of additional resources, consumables, and equipment requirements as needed to ensure that work can be completed within the expected timeline.

· Maintenance of a safe and orderly laboratory and ensure of compliance with all safety policies and practices.

Qualifications

· At a minimum, a B.S. in chemistry or equivalent.

· Preference for 1-3 years of industrial experience.

Skills:

· A good understanding of analytical chemistry and organic chemistry principles.

· Demonstrate practical ability using traditional wet chemical techniques and analytical instruments including GC and HPLC.

· Experience in the operation of chromatographic data acquisition and processing software packages such as Waters Empower 3 or earlier version for data collection and presentation is highly desirable.

· Excellent written, reporting, and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

· Experience in a start-up environment with ability to deliver results under tight deadlines is desirable.

· Able to lift 15 – 40 pounds.

Salary: Commensurable with demonstrated experience.
