Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk We are a prominent Nevada cannabis business looking for a skilled Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk to join our team and execute a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, cash counts, and data entry. You will utilize accounting software programs to process business invoices, such as accounts payable and receivable invoices, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting assistant/accounting clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures.Responsibilities Process AP invoices through Quickbooks accurately and timely Manage incoming AR payments by counting and verifying funds Assisting cash management specialist with cash counts File completed AP and AR paperwork as well as maintaining organized files AR check deposits Mailing checks via certified mail Track, process, and record online supplies ordered for multiple locations Other administrative projects as needed Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Daily data entry of key data of financial transactions in database Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Requirements Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounting/Admin Assistant or Accounts Payable Clerk Familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting procedures Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software Microsoft Excel experience required Quickbooks Online experience required Cash handling experience required Hands-on experience with spreadsheets Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks Data entry and word processing skills Effective oral and written communication with vendors and staff, confident interaction with a variety of personalities.
