Sr Data Engineer - Data Services & Enterprise Data Warehouse

Weedmaps is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help architect, design, build and maintain our data platform. You'll be joining our Data Engineering team where you'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence in support of our business goals.

The impact you'll make:

• Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines, integrating a wide range of data sources to support business applications and internal analytics needs.

• Create repeatable solution patterns and standards for relevant data management capabilities to ensure data consistency and accuracy, while maintaining SLA requirements.

• Perform technology and product assessments to drive required infrastructure needs to meet scalability, availability, security and concurrency needs.

• Cross team collaboration with Product, Analytics and Engineering teams, participate in all phases of SDLC - product requirement gathering, design, development and support.

What you've accomplished:

• 6-10+ years of Data/Software Engineering

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.

• Experience building data integration pipelines, familiarity with ETL, ELT, Change Data Capture (CDC), Streaming and other data processing patterns.

• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow management solutions.

• Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language, Python preferred.

• Experience with AWS, solid understanding of data services offered and ability to recommend cost effective solutions in and out of the box

• Strong knowledge of various relational and non-relational database systems (Postgres, ElasticSearch, Redshift, MongoDB, etc), experience with structured and semi structured data.

• Experience with streams and event driven patterns is a plus.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

For more information on Columbia Care, please visit</p><p><b>Major Areas of Responsibility include:</b></p><p>• Follows policies &amp; procedures for the daily operations and fully complies with state medical marijuana regulations.</p><p>• Maintains testing and formulating operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures.</p><p>• Performs QA/QC through analytical testing for quality, consistency and efficacy.</p><p>• Works closely with production team on all elements of the testing and formulating process.</p><p>• Masters various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion, including butane extraction.</p><p>• Develops expertise in testing and formulating methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis.</p><p>• Responsible for inventory, recordkeeping and quality of product at all times, maintaining inventory via seed to sale tracking.</p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge &amp; Abilities):</b></p><p>• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.</p><p>• Bachelor's degree preferably in chemistry or similar field.</p><p>• 1-4 years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.</p><p>• Experience with analytical testing required and HPLC- specific experience preferred.</p><p>• Experience in various cannabis testing or formulation methods preferred.</p><p>Travel %: 0-10</p><p>FLSA status: Non-exempt</p><p><b>Additional Abilities Required:</b></p><p>• The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker).
