The IPM Team Member will work hands on to monitor the crops and ensure accurate reports of the crops health and wellness are relayed to management; as well as implement IPM strategies designated by the IPM Supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Monitoring and scouting of pests, diseases, and beneficial insects.
  • Reporting pest populations, irrigation irregularities, and mechanical issues seen while scouting.
  • Monitor efficiency of products used for control measures.
  • Mix and apply pesticides.
  • Maintain and monitor traps to provide feedback on pest counts to the growers.
  • Verification of pest and disease infestation trends.
  • Coordinating with management on all biological programs and implementation.
  • Verifying / validating of scouting reports to confirm accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintaining up to date records and reports.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

  • Required
  • Age 21 or over
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pesticide Applicator Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of being hired is required
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial cultivation, agriculture or other related field


Preferred

  • Minimum 3 months IPM experience preferred
  • Landscape, nursery or growing operations experience a plus
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to focus, be task oriented and manage stress
  • Proficient with measurements
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires the ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods of time during shift

Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously.

Ability to lift 60 lbs. unassisted and up to 80 lbs. assisted.
