We are hiring a Senior Manager, Medical Affairs and Partnerships, Medical Cannabis

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnerships and Patient Support, Medical Cannabis, this role is responsible for all medical business development and functions as the clinical and scientific expert, for Medical Cannabis by Shoppers. The Manager must have a strong business acumen, the ability to manage relationships with clinics and prescribers and the scientific knowledge to engage with clinicians and researchers. The Manager will provide the support and tools to clinics, prescribers, hospitals, long-term care facilities and research institutions to manage and treat medical cannabis patients using the Medical Cannabis by Shoppers platform.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify key clinics, prescribers, hospitals, long-term care facilities and research institutions that require support and tools for medical cannabis prescribing

• Build and maintain strong relationships and networks with the above key stakeholders

• Drive awareness of the benefits of the Medical Cannabis by Shoppers platform with key stakeholders

• Provide Medical expertise and customer insights to the medical cannabis team aligned with scientific information and published clinical studies to support product strategies

• Develop a customer centric culture, making sure promotional/medical/scientific communications address Health Care Practitioner needs

• Maintain personal expertise in cannabinoid science and relevant areas

• Utilize available internal and external data analytics to develop outreach effectiveness programs

• Plan and execute scientific advisory boards and expert meetings (national & regional) with key opinion leaders

• Manage current research initiatives and identify future opportunities for business growth and patient support

What You’ll Need:

• 5-8 years of diverse Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry experience in either Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs or Clinical Research

• Masters in Science, Pharmacy Degree or MBA

• Ability to establish strong relationships with prescribers and researchers

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge in the field of pain, neurology, mood disorders and/or palliative medicine an asset

• Has a track record of effective and influential oral presentations with healthcare professionals

• Strong analytical skills and keen strategic business sense are necessary

• Able to work as a member of a cross functional team

• Advisory board development and execution an asset

Ability to effectively communicate in English & French an asset
