SENIOR MANAGER, SALES STRATEGY We are looking for a Senior Manager, Sales Strategy to support with the development and continual of Aurora’s product portfolio in the emerging consumer market. Reporting to the SVP, Market Development, you will work closely with the brand and sales teams to bring data and rigour to our decision-making and sales process. You will also play a key role in developing our product strategy, tracking the performance of our products against key metrics, reviewing domestic and international market trends, and creating a feedback to shape our future product offerings. To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of key metrics, sales and margins, cannabis growth cycles and properties, forecast reviews, analytical skills, financial aptitude and business acumen. The successful candidate must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as thrive in a fast-paced environment subject to rapid and sudden change. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with different corporate levels is essential. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Liaise with sales team, demand team, and the brand managers to develop a robust sales forecast for the consumer market. Develop key forecasting inputs such as cannibalization rates, product lifecycles, etc… that support the continuous improvement of forecast accuracy Analyze data to pick out key industry and consumer trends for current product categories Develop a systemic way to identify, validate, and communicate category and product trends provincially, nationally, and internationally to determine business opportunities Use in-depth knowledge of cannabis and its derivatives to shape future product offerings Lead the product portfolio review process to identify current portfolio risks and opportunities including driving conversations around SKU optimization or corrective action on under-performing product lines. Support the development of transition strategies as we expand and refine our product offerings Liaise with sales and marketing teams to identify promotional opportunities for the product category Identify and develop materials that illustrate key insights into relevant product categories to better support the sales process Coordinate with product demand forecasters to ensure the sustainability of inventory Working knowledge of the products, consumer needs, buying practices, sales goals and retail environment related to your category Analyze data to determine forward looking recommendations for strains and products Communicating with logistics, marketing, project management, and automation teams to determine the timing of product launches in new markets. QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years experience managing strategic pricing within a complex multi-category/portfolio role in a related industry (CPG, pharmaceuticals, wellness products etc) An undergraduate degree in business or a related field, is preferred Demonstrated experience with data analysis and forecasting methodologies Proficient in MS Office Suite An analytical mind with problem solving abilities Excellent communication and people skills An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Management experience would be considered an asset Knowledge and experience working with regulated product(s) as well as consumer packaged goods are considered assets Strong knowledge of cannabis and derivative products would be an asset We would like to thank all applicants for their interest but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
