The Opportunity
The role will be responsible for supporting the development of our recreational and medical markets. Revenue Management’s (RM) mandate is to optimize revenue and margin attainment by utilizing the four main RM pillars: price optimization, mix management, discount efficiency, and margin pools. This role will support the development of a global Revenue Management performance management function through the implementation of industry-leading systems, development of advanced analytics and reporting tools, and conducting post-event analytics on executed strategies to develop a RM strategy playbook.

This role will report to the Manager, M&E, Systems, Performance & Analytics.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity of data sources relevant for Revenue Management and assist in the procurement of additional data sources
  • Support the development of the annual price planning process to ensure clear recommendations at the required level of detail supported with fact-based analysis
  • Assist in the review and maintenance of competitor analytics to understand their price strategy & expected pricing behavior in the market to help identify opportunities and risks to pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with the rest of Revenue Management to set KPIs ensuring alignment of individual and team targets with the goals / targets of the business
  • Assist in performing post-mortem measurement and evaluation of the efficacy of revenue management strategic implementations including promotional plans, headline pricing plans, and other pricing initiatives
  • Provide analytical insights by interpreting findings in data (consumer and shopper insights, business and financial indicators, research) to develop fact-based, actionable recommendations that support business objectives
  • Develop tools, dashboards, and capabilities to enable Revenue Management to focus on high value activities and unlock additional insights
  • Assist in refinement of processes and procedures to facilitate optimal performance of the Revenue Management team
  • Support in the implementation and maintenance of Revenue Management’s Trade Promotion Management system
  • Develop best practices/processes for using Revenue Management’s suite of tools and systems and assist in the training of all relevant stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience
  • University degree in Applied Economics, Applied Statistics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced user of MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data management principles
  • Proficiency with visualization software (i.e. Tableau) is an asset
  • Excellent strategical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of trade investment, promotional landscape, and promotional optimization techniques is an asset
  • Experience in Beverage Alcohol, CPG, Cannabis, or related industries is an asset
  • 2-3+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Management, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Sales, or Business Intelligence
